Lots of super useful feedback here, and I'm going to turn it all over to our team for discussion. This is an important issue that will need clarification as we continue to adjust the matchmaking process.

Nicolea1111, don't worry about losing for using new decks. We've been told that the system is able to tell the difference between those testing new decks and those who are throwing matches on purpose. You won't be counted as a deranker.

What about loosing because all i have is a few lvl 4 epic and no high lvl legendarys and 1 lvl 6 common rats which were nerfed so... but im really matched all day with pauline and the worst today i seen was 127 my lsr last season was 10,000 same cards i was rank 8800 ive lost from 50 1 away from legend to 42 so am i gonna be punished you do watch these top100 right? They have 5 legend 6 rare 7 common. Explain plz if 1 was to come out if legend 1 season that ****s a grind you assume lvl 20 means im top 100 or its just fun? Is it possible i have tons of 5 commons and tons of donations. Seems to me there was how many card changes 5 6 7? Then the mega epic legend revamp each time new fighters are key to winning so you lvl em. Just make a rule using certain peramiters if i have 5 commons and 4 epic and lvl 20 put me with someone comp cards. Ive been beat by 14nk with all 3 legendary. Just explain your logic which im sure you will not

Buddy you are not in the same boat as the person starting this thread lol. In your original post, even though you deleted it now, you said you had 2 legendaries at level 3, and 2 commons at 6, but now you say one common lv 6 which makes me think you have more. Don't try to piggy back your de-ranking abuse on someone with a real issue, it's good that your type of de-ranking gets some sort of management.

never said i had 2 3s your mistaken if you want i can post a pic of who i fight with. Remeber you cant play every card you have inwas referring to the cards i play the rats and pigeons (who i dont play) got killed in the power update 1 half lvl'd somm at 3 doesnt warrant me fighting these same people. Try and understand the thread before you comment. 1st u know nothing about what ive done 2nd its a cartoon phone game 3rd yes my cards are better than hers but not by much try and read carefully i finished last season w same deck just under 10lsr i went in at 10lsr i lost down to twelve thousand (rank )won up to a bit shy of 11000 left me at 9800 i fought every fight. I had no intention to go back into legendary burnt out i stayed at 50 season was over what 3 weeks 2 weeks ago what lives ive ruined lmao idiot. I have lvl 5 cards mainly i have only 2 epic 4 that are maxed not a bad deck but i should be locked in fighting at my lsr not double.

That was a very typical and generic corporate response you gave there Ubi-Toller; very disappointing!

I also find it disrespectful to neither have my name or situation be addressed directly in your response, given that I am the original poster of this thread and also for the effort that I put in to writing a long post with supporting pictures as evidence to back up all of my claims.

Also, I was not providing you with any “super useful feedback”. I was providing you with a serious complaint about the unfairness of my situation due to the Redlynx development team’s cack-handed implementation of their anti-deranking matchmaking solution; which has had the unintended consequence, but was entirely preventable, of catching high level New Kid (through donating and even deck levelling) players like myself and many others in this thread and elsewhere, and brandishing them as Silver Shield derankers.

Just as a personal example; I have calculated that out of the 53,914 XP I have earned to date; 40,132 of which has come through donating. Therefore, 74.437% of my New Kid level has arisen from donations. So, let me ask again; how exactly does my level 20 New Kid make me a deranker?

Again, as you did not bother to answer the first time I asked, I would like you to take the opportunity this time and answer the following:

1. Why do you conflate New kid level with deck strength/skill/ability to compete with Top Legendary players; when it is possible to increase New Kid level by giving away spare copies of cards, AKA donating.
   
2. How do you expect me, and others in the same situation as myself, to advance into Legendary rank when the majority of our opponents are Top 500 Legendary players – and therefore our win percentage is virtually Zero rather than 50%.
   
3. Do you still consider me to be a deranker now that I’ve been beaten all the way down from Silver Rank 50 to Silver Rank 35 (and I would be at a much lower rank than this were it not for Rank 35 being a limit).
   
4. Where does it state in the game that high level New Kids are prohibited from staying and "de-ranking" in Silver Shields or else be punished as above by your new matchmaking system. And why wasn’t adequate warning given that you were going to implement a deranking solution based on New Kid level.
   
5. When can we expect the Redlynx development team to pull their fingers out of their collective a$$es and either reverse the recent matchmaking change or alter it so that it actually targets the intended players.

As I said in my original response, we are looking into ways to adjust the system. That's why I've been gathering up all the feedback about players like you who feel they are being unfairly targeted. As this is a brand new system there will be a period of adjustment, but our team is already hard at work on how to improve things for everyone.

Lambtron350 dear friend, I just went against you on pvp, I see you've acquired a couple of level 3 legendaries, that was quite fast, did you really not have these before? and if not how much cash did you have to spend to get the copies and upgrade them.

Hi, what's your in-game name?

As I mentioned in my original post; I've had to abandon the Adventure theme that I've been working on since Global Launch to switch to Sci-Fi to utilise and upgrade a Sixth Element Randy to maximum Level 3 (from 1/5 Level 1) as well as level up a Witch Doctor Token to maximum Level 3 (from 1/5 Level 1). I’ve had to do this in order to have a slim chance at competing against all the highly ranked Legendary players I get matched with since Tuesday 18th September.

Beforehand, like I mentioned in my original post, I was quite happy playing in the Silver Shield ranks 49-50 with my Adventure Mystical deck consisting of Commons & Rares no higher than Level 4, Epics no higher than Level 3 and Legendaries at Level 1.
I played these 4/4/3/1 decks both before and after the recent “Common nerf/Rarity buff” update.
Even though my New Kid level has been between NK18-NK20 for a good few months now, my decks were often outlevelled by opposing New Kids NK11-NK18 in Silver Shields.

Since Global Launch to date I have spent £12.77 (approx. $16.50) otherwise I am a dedicated F2P player.

I am actually quite fortunate to have received 51 copies of Legendary cards across all 5 themes to date. However, like many I presume, I do not currently have the resources (namely coins) to level up every Legendary, Epic, Rare or Common.

Oh yes my bad, I already thought that you or somebody said that they leveled up legendaries in an attempt of coping with the matchmaking. My ign was helptheunfortunate; with those two legendaries I believe you can dive into legendary though. The fix they are working on may also still categorise you as de-ranker because of those legendaries, unless their fix measures somehow the actual potential and strength of the current deck + user level, so then because of the lower level epics you would get better match ups. I don't think they are doing anything complex but we'll see, and how fast they do it will be related to the number of affected people.

Punishing people who are genuinely active is a sure way to destroy the game. People will stop donating for fear of gaining too much lvl. It’s just a slippery slope by match-making according to NK. If there is another wave of players leaving I don’t think the game can recover. There won’t be enough people for fast match-making and it will snowball from there.

There is actually a(nother) simple solution to derankers (I gave a lot of other solutions previously which has gone unheeded). After every legendary reset, EVERYBODY should drop 1 arena rank, not just legend players under 10k. By ONLY displacing a small group of people you are creating a huge imbalance which takes weeks to stabilize.

Legends should ALL drop to arena 10 and try to work their way up again. Anybody in arena 10 should drop to arena 9 and so on. By implementing rank decay to everyone it preserves the delicate balance by transposing everybody’s rank down.

There are players in arena 10 who enter legend on the last day. If you are in arena 10 and don’t want to face these guys again you should stay in arena 10 and decay to arena 9 at reset. You won’t face derankers for a month. If you want to take a break for a month you can drop a rank and pick up the game a month later at a lower rank. Not improving your deck for a month will make you weaker and appropriate for a lower arena and keep you playing. Unlike now if anyone in legend quits for 1-2 months they will come back to silver rank 50 and get destroyed and eventually leave the game.

You guys keep saying you are getting valuable feedback but you don’t actually implement it. Is it an ego thing? I’m not opposed to getting paid if it makes you feel better.

Happened to me exactly. I have tons of screens with me being matched to top 50-100 legendary players. How do I post the screens? I am being punished for donating and being a team player? I never even got close to being competitive enough to get into the top ranks but now I am forced to play them? I dont understand how this is a policy. I keep looking for posts regarding this as i am not forum "savvy ".I see many posts spread all over. If anyone in a position to hp me I can send you screenshots so they can be posted,reviewed. I cant play and dont know what else I can do.
