There might well be a patch come out in the near future to put right the shortcomings in the new content and actually fix some of the issues that were supposed to be resolved with TU16, the O&M update, I don't know. It will show willing at least, but right now I'm not sure it will do much good.
This isn't a quality control issue as much as a technical capability issue in my opinion, that being based on the simple premise, as Klaymond pointed out in another thread, that these were so blindingly obvious errors that you couldn't miss them. The LVOAC mag floating in the wrong place and the weapons and attachments staying locked bug are easy to test for and spot. The most likely explanation, other than they didn't check and/or don't care which are both unlikely, is that the test environment does not replicate the real live environment. My hunch is an integration issue in the live back end systems that maintain player data and configuration data with Uplay and how user accounts are set up playing a major part in that issue, but it's impossible to say. One thing is for sure, the company themselves don't know.
And it is in that context that the unpopularity of microtransactions, the packaging of items into expensive bundles and the loot box lottery are being judged. Guys, you are doing yourselves as much harm as you did with the graphics downgrade issues of a few years ago. You simply can not expect to generate income this way whilst putting out errors. Not if you want to maintain a good reputation across your fan base. You can do one or the other and as you can't assure yourselves of the functionality of the pack content, you should stop selling it the way you are.
I think most most of us realise that Wildlands is in its end game phase now, with an understandable desire from the company to maximise returns on it, but I think it's time to look ahead to the next GR and beyond and retain goodwill; this is your most valuable asset and although intangible it is also the most enduring yet fragile of all the assets you have. I don't think you should carry on putting this at risk.
Face up to the technical limitations you have in being able to fix these issues and acknowledge them with regular and frequent state of the game communications. At the same time drastically overhaul the manner in which you are selling the content by splitting bundles and extending the in-game prestige economy to reward your most loyal fans. I know you'll take a revenue hit over the remaining life of Wildlands, but I'm almost dreading the next two SO updates as doing more harm than good. Think longer term and think of the health of the brand. Don't destroy all the good work you have done over the last few years by chasing a cash cow, let it fade if you can't fix it.
You know I'm a loyal fan as are nearly all of the posters here and you know we hardly agree on anything, but I think everyone will agree after today's update that you must do better. Don't turn the end game into the end of the game.
My guess is that they just want more money, and it's easy to get that money when they can depend upon the naivete of the majority of Ghost Recon fans. There are plenty of players here that are willingly shelling out money to purchase "content" packs for $20 or more. "Content" packs that include what like 3 or 4 items? Compare that price to the price of the ENTIRE game OR when the ENTIRE game goes on sale. That's $20 for 3-4 items vs. THE ENTIRE GAME for anywhere between $30-$60. Think about this for a moment and think about the disparity between the content you are getting from a DLC vs. the whole game. Really, sit and think about this. It's ridiculous.

These are all solid choices and all relevant (minus the H9, it's just plain cool), to South America and the ghost recon universe. I will keep suggesting this list. I'd P2P for all of these! You guys rock!
While I have enjoyed this game and I believe it is a step in the right direction, I can also say it is one of, if not the buggiest Ghost Recon game I have ever played, with a complete lack of polish and attention to detail. I've played xbox GR, GR island thunder, GR2, GR2 summit strike, GRAW, and GRAW2. Many of which have had items from Wildlands correctly rendered and portrayed in their games. For me, a large part of this does scream carelessness and disregard, but other portions I can agree are due to difficult tech issues that are not easily resolved. That aside, in terms of goodwill, I have no faith in Ubisoft, due to the lack of quick responses to bugs and incorrectly rendered items that have been in the game since launch. For me, any time you place a Tom Clancy title on a game, book, or movie you are setting a bar to reach for authenticity and accuracy in detail and this game does not deliver or meet my expectations. That’s not to say I don't enjoy the game, but there are things that have irked me since launch that have not been addressed that for me are blatantly obvious and a complete eyesore. Their first Q and A that they did was a complete joke and communication in general has been poor. Narco Roads and Fallen Ghosts were complete letdowns as DLC in my opinion. Don't re-purpose areas and completely avoid adding to the base gameplay and then for the longest of time refuse to even add in the few legitimately new guns to the main campaign. I never want to see another "exotic" named uncustomizable weapon again in a Ghost Recon game. It is a waste of space, talent, and time. While I appreciate that they have finally added in the highly requested legitimate military gear and some new guns, the fact they have been locked behind an overpriced paywall makes this gesture a moot point. Not to mention the fact that items within the packs are either incorrectly rendered in one aspect or another or have their own bugs. For me, they have no good will or anything going for them that would portray them as pro consumer due to what I have mentioned at the present time.
Because they put most of their work on ghost war not pve mode.I don't know which manager proposed it , a game must have online part then it will have a longer lifespan? Now they screw up both modes, sigh, but next GR will appear at least in 2020,before this wildland should have y3 update ,hope it can be better.
Yeah, they do such good work, and these are great additions to the Y2 pass. The technical issues and monetisation model together are their main problem for me, Shobhit.Originally Posted by shobhit7777777 Go to original post
They can't seem to fix one so they should address the other. After several years now of GR moving forward we are moving backwards and that is a shame as the franchise is in a good place.
JFC... I absolutely agree with you here.Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post
