My new map Straight Shots 3 didn't trigger the transport script 3 out of 5 times in arcade, and when it worked there is this huge terrain column touching the sky at the edge of the map, I've seen that before in another map if you look up it disappears but if you try to play the game it sits in the back ground.
Straight Shots 1 uses the transport script with no errors it got 4 stars, Straight shots 3 I put invisible walls around the cowboy saloon so the enemy ai wouldn't walk out the door before you trigger the script.
Then after you take out the first wave in the bar you walk out the door and spawn a mile away to a logger camp but there is a trail of invisible walls leading from the script point to the entrance of the camp where you meet the second wave of enemy ai. The invisible wall trail has script for change night to day then change storm to clear and then change fog to sunny day. Does the invisible walls trigger the scripts in arcade but not in editor?.
I want to make 10 straight Shots maps, they are easy with scripts you can do a level in one day.
jwkreule, thanks for the reply.
It's a baseball bat to the creative senses lol. My issue is I don't know if the script's glitch for everyone or just when I play through or the map is just not good so it got 2 star rating.
I know how to make 2 star maps and this is not one of them they take 6 hours to make, this one took 12 hours and should be 3 stars by itself maybe 4 with scripting. Straight Shots 1 had script and Cowboy theme when the other maps in Arcade were all zombie and war maps people were in the mood for a theme change so my cowboy map hit 4 stars easy. Straight Shots 2 had no scripts and the theme was the same people thought it was alright it got 3 stars, now Straight Shots 3 script's glitched and it's stuck at 2 stars.
this is when we need to be able to text players in Arcade for feedback, should I fix the map with a republish or maybe it sucks and deserved the ratings it got..I don't know and I'm stuck asking people on PC and Xbox on here what they think without being able to play test it to tell me if it glitches or is just a boring map.
I think it could be the invisible walls lay out making the script glitch or it could be too many animal ai in the map or twisting too many objects with physics into a junkyard layout.
I tried to make a cowboy logger camp from the 1880's, so I twisted up every piece of wood into 3 blocks of lumber hills that could have made the terrain glitch with all of the animal ai and invisible walls possibly blocking the 4 scripts i used on a trail to get to the camp.
I just played it before replying to you and it didn't work, then hit replay and it worked.
Bloody hell, lol.
Let's try again and see what happens..the stupid terrain column is there in the background of the logging camp when it works.
and it worked again.
restarting arcade to see if it works again. I need a play test feed back.
and it didn't work again, damn.

Just tried this one now, when I spawned. I was facing a wall. Not sure if that was intentional. The daylight transition was fast lol I'm not sure where the transport was supposed to be but I'm guessing it was after I teleported to a road. Try re-upload ingredients and make sure you aren't doing anything in the menus or receiving messages during publishing. I had this happen alot in my map
skinmysenses, thanks for trying out the map you mean you were facing a wall in Straight Shots 3 right?. I just got worried you tried Straight Shots 1 and the teleport spawn placed you in front of a wall. lol
I'm republishing Straight Shots 3 as SCRIPT ERROR TEST in like an hour, I'm taking out the invisible walls, animal ai, fog and storm daylight change so it's just a sunny day map and adding a truck at the beginning in case the teleport doesn't work.
Did it spawn you at an invisible wall with a green flare on a dirt trail?. I wanted to lure the player into the logging camp by following an invisible wall trail for about a minute. First you walk past the daylight trigger.
I wasn't sure how fast I should script the sunset change, i think the chrome effect was because of all of the fog in the map the light whited out changing to day time through the white fog lens.
Then a few seconds after you trigger the script to stop the storm then the script to turn off the fog once you are at the logging camp entrance where your weapons stash waits.
Did it spawn you off to some backroom wall or you mean you got stuck at the invisible wall.
Ignore ingredients... my phone put that there and idk why
But when I started the map, i was staring at a wall and I think you just have to spin the player spawn point facing the right direction. The teleport is what's not working? I thought you said "transport" like as in a vehicle. In that case, just put TWO spawn points instead of one, on the road because you need another one for the other person in coop. If you don't, the editor will glitch and place another for you randomly in your map. I've had the chrome effect before and was able to fix it.
