Hi,
My warm regards to all. I am Niladri ftom Kolkata India. I just started playing the game 2 weeks back I am more in cs go. I am a family man and dont get much time for gaming.
But man am I completely blown away by this game. I really love it. Recently I reached level 30 with gear score of 114. I need further help regarding solo build and gear and weapons required to play pve mostly.
Thanks,
Niladri.
Hey Niladri,
the game has a lot of PVE content to offer. There are the HV targets, incursion, the story missions in challenging and legendary (these ones are really tough), West Side Pier and Resistance (in a team) as well as the DLCs Underground and SurvivaL. Last Stand and Skirmish is PVP. You can also go into DZ solo and focus on PVE, but there is always the risk to meet rogues. Your question about weapons is not easy, since each player has his favourites. However, most players will probably agree that the House (Exotic Weapon) and the LVOAC and M4 assault rifles are among the best. I also like the Bullfrog AS, the Hungry Hog or Big Alejandro LMGs ( they are the best weapons to surpress NPCs), M700 Carbon marksman rifle and the Showstopper shotgun. The best builds for solo PVE are, imo, Nomad, Tactician, Striker and D3 (if possible as classified gear). Hybrid builds are viable too at the beginning. You can use, for example, the Barret's Vest, or a Ninja Bike backpack together with yellow or turquoise gear pieces.
You can do a lot of missions solo, but TD is also a team player game. There are many great sets, e. g. Final Measure, Reclaimer, which are a great addition to each team. The incursions as well as the challenging and, above all, the legendary missions are clearly designed for teams. Of course, it is the best to have a team of friends, but mostly, you can do all these missions also with a team of randoms.
Have fun!
Thanks a lot man for responding. I am not sure if I am dping it right or wrong. I reached level 30 with gear score 114 and went to world tier 1. Within 30 minutes in world tier 1, I got 2 classified green armour suits and 1 mask. I was playing some pending missions as well as field proficiency jobs and I got some gold weapons from the reward caches. In no time my gear score went up to 214 and I skipped world tier 2 and directly went to tier 3. Is it ok to do so?
Also, what type of build is required for a solo player? I regularly get wiped out in DZ with groups of players. I stopped going to DZ due to ugly experience.
Thanks
Niladri.
It is absolutely ok to do so. In my view, you should try to reach world tier 5 with a gear score of 256+ asap, because you need to be this high for legendary missions and heroic incursions, for example.Furthermore, it is much eaiser to get a team together - the vast majority of agents plays only in this tier. You can always go back to a lower tier, if you want to decrease the difficulty level. For solo PVE, I like a Nomad build with high stamina, for example, because it provides constant healing and a gives you a new life every 4 minutes. Some players prefer a build rolled on electronics such as Tactician and let the skills do the damage for them. Another option is a build such as Predator or Striker with high stamina and a lot of damage. It is really difficult to recommend a build, since Division is so diverse and offers so many options; and a new player has to take what he gets anyway. It needs a bit of time to get together exactly the classy gear set you want, Above that, tastes are very different, too.
Farming the DZ for loot can be really hard for solo players. It is clearly designed for PVP, but with a six-piece classified Nomad with high stamina and a bit of tactics and experience, you have a decent chance to escape into the next safehouse or get your loot out at an extraction point.
Thanks for responding. Can you please recommend which missions should I play more to get mire exotic drops?
Also I am doing it right now as you have suggested, very high stamina build with a striker vest and nomad mask. I also got some other piece of another green set as well, forgot the name though.
Can I add you as a friend on pc platform?
Thanks,
Niladri.
I am on PS 4, unfortunately. As long as you cannot do legendary missions or heroic incursions, I recommend Resistance or the named bosses in LZ and DZ to obtain exotics and classy gear pieces. Have you been in UG already? You don't need to play on WT 5 there and the so called Hunters often drop exotics etc. But be careful, they are mean.
Greetings from Germany to India!
Forgot to mention, as soon as have to pieces of a certain set, for example a Nomad mask and holster, open the inventory and check out the different set bonuses and don't forget the talents of the weapons. There are weapon talents which are very benefical, for example Deadly or Predatory as well as Competent for a electronic build and many others.

I agree that meeting minimum GS scores to raise to world tier 5 as quickly as possible is your best best. I ran intel gathering missions and HVTs. I also killed all the LZ bosses, they are on a reset timer of 4 hours. Don't forget the crate.. the one that shows up routinely and you have to clear the area. I also ran the dailies on hard. I'm PC, I tend to play 9:30 PM - 1:00 AM Eastern Standard. If that works, IM me.Someone was kind enough to run me thru the challenge modes and dumped all the gear. It let me fairly quickly put together non classified versions of various sets. I'm more than willing to pay that forward. Welcome and good luck.
