I think loot boxes and micro transactions shouldnt be in the game either. When I open a loot box, i dont feel accomplished. Sure, you get a rush of dopamine when you get something rare, but you didnt really earn it, you just got lucky. The game would be more fun if there were items to work towards. Items should be tied to achievements, the rarity is essentially the difficulty of the achievement. You can feel a sense of pride and accomplishment when you wear your earned items, while showing them off to other players.
If the lootboxes are cosmetic only, which they are so far, then I am fine with them in the game. I am just saying that the game would be much much better if you had to earn the items, instead of just getting lucky.
just like acorns in Fusion, you dont have to buy them as long as you play some tourneys or play MP, I have over 30.000 acorns still and never paid for any, and i never would. I hope they stay in the game for challenges, dont buy them if you dont want them. It it was a buy only option then sure, i wouldnt want them in there, but if there are ways to get them free, like in beta, i'm fine with it and hope they stay.
But they have already confirmed that there will be premium crates, which will almost certainly be real cash only and will likely contain items unique to that specific crate.Originally Posted by LIONDEN1 Go to original post
