So been playing the beta since it came live. I have played all the Trials games (although not much of Blood Dragon) on xbox consoles.


Things I like: Graphics and physics are very nice. Soundtrack so far is awesome. Track design is super nice. The tandem bike is a HOOT!

Things I do NOT like:

- [LOOT CRATE]. The crates. Ugggh I can't even... It's a greed based money making scheme for big corporate studios to indoctrinate kids into gambling. I hate it so much. Let me buy my customization items myself. I will get the ones I want. Stop wasting my time with crate animations and take out the stupid randomness of it. Reward skill instead. If there is no point in getting better then the replay value of the game is lost. I will gladly fork over more money for DLC that has more tracks. Not crates.

- [MATCHMAKING]. Could just be beta bugs but the matchmaking clock seems to pick random wait times. Then restarts when at 0. I even saw an instance where the clock was something 492000 seconds. But then it reset after 15-20 seconds. Sometimes match making takes 3-5 mins even when there are 6-7 players available. Everybody has to sit and wait for no apparent reason. You also need to penalize players for quitting out of a series. We'd see less drop-outs. Guys get frustrated that they sucked on the first race then quit. Suck it up buttercup.

- [MULTIPLAYER]. Bugs. I have seen a race where I finished second, then got bumped down to last well after the race and was awarded no points. Weird.

- You need to make it obvious how many tracks there are to play. Show them greyed out as items to unlock instead of having empty maps and no indication of what needs to be done. Previous Trials games were better on that aspect. I understand the non-linear progression chosen for Rising but at least let it be known that there is locked content!!

- Did I mention the crates take away from this game? Because they do. Keep them for FPS and please keep them away from this series.

Haven't decided if I will buy this yet. The crate system is a real turn-off. This would be the first Trials game I wouldn't get..
