Yeah I recall them saying this too, but I wouldn't mind seeing how they break down the data. When are they tracking peoples eyes? If it's actually during a fight then yeah, you're going to be watching your opponent without a doubt, but during a fight you're not wondering which team they are on. I'll bet most people use the icon to establish team colours when they're not actively engaged in combat though and when you are actively engaged, it's not exactly difficult to tell who's trying to kill you.Originally Posted by CandleInTheDark Go to original post
I never look at the colors, If someone really checks who is an enemy and who is not by checking what colored pants he/she is wearing you could aswell just check the big bright red/blue colored shield near their name, or look at the radar.Originally Posted by SangLong524 Go to original post
Yeah I’ve been on board for a long time as well.
I actually think the color scheme HINDERS my identification of some of the enemy amongst enemy minions. Shinobi? Peacekeeper? Same dang size as the minions. Talk about trying to stand out, mofos blend right in. You HAVE to look for the icon in this situation anyways especially when they’re hidden from the map.
Could we do a test server on this and then have an official vote afterward? I feel this one should be the community's decision.Originally Posted by UbiInsulin Go to original post
Team colours should definitely stay.
That said, why not let players choose what colour and shade they want to use for the 3 choices? That way the only restrictions needed would be:
Main colour has to be relevant to the attacking/defending team palette. Not including black/white/grey.
The secondary and tertiary options must be black/white/grey or the relevant attacking/defending palette.
That way you can come to a sort of middle ground.
