Hello. So I was looking into this game after seeing the Starfox trailer for it. I won't lie to you people: The game looks good but I'm not a fan of the toys to life thing. I would much rather either have the ability to unlock everything in game without paying, or failing that since I understand the need to make money, get some kind of lower price on the digital stuff the cost of toy manufacturing is not taken into account.
So I guess my question here is twofold:
1:Assuming I just want to buy the base game and not shell out for the various parts, would it be possible to unlock other pilots, ships, or whatever else by putting effort or playing into the game, rather then paying for it?
2: Assuming this is not possible due to the nature of toys for life games or some other reason, would it be possible for digital items to get some kind of discount or money off the original price, since the cost of manufacturing would not be taken into account for digital items?
Bonus question: Just how involved in the switch version are the Starfox characters? From watching some gameplay they seem pretty involved, but I was wondering if it was like a separate mission thing, if they are involved deep in like say Mario X Rabbids, or both.
Hey!
At the moment, we don't have any information to share on digital pricing for ships, pilots, and weapons. We know that many players are waiting for this information. As soon as we have it, we'll share it far and wide.
With Team Star Fox joining us in the fight against Grax, you'll find added content and bonus missions that are unique to Fox and his team. You can also play the entire game with Fox!
Interesting development: Xbox One "Deluxe Edition" digital-only version available on Microsoft store. Looks like you get all the current (non-exclusive) ships, pilots and weapons.

Nothing about price that I could see and says "Not available for purchase" (possibly released the info too early, maybe?)
That bundle is $79.99 on PS4. https://store.playstation.com/en-us/...ARLINKBFADELUXOriginally Posted by neilvbell Go to original post
