There's nothing undercover with some of the options offered/provided - such as the arena mask ...
Blending-in with casual clothing makes sense in town, not in the countryside, at say zero-dark-thirty, just outside a UNIDAD base which contains a captain that must be interrogated ...
A snapshot taken by UNIDAD doesn't in the least assume that the team can't have any type of tactical gear as well as clothing while in the countryside - i.e., blending-in versus standing-out given there are various enemy patrols out and about, and above ...
And most importantly, it's truly a stretch to assume this team is undercover and blending-in when they don't understand Spanish ...This non-immersive factor I assume is a game design decision, given the multiple languages supported, but still ...
Given that Ghille Suits are presently able to worn or simply not worn, it’s be neat if simply wearing one gave you, say, a 10% decrease in detection, similar to how the Detection Skill works. As a con, you can reduce the users stamina by 50% or whatever.Originally Posted by UbiInsulin Go to original post

Multiple posters have suggested this multiple times! I would love to see this implemented, but Tier 1 and Ghost Mode have both come around without it added, and these would have been a perfect way to bring it in, so I'm not holding out much hope.Originally Posted by DIDJAMOM Go to original post
Do people asking for Ghillie Suit camo bonuses also want the downsides or just keep prentending they are l33t snipers?
The way GRW gamemechanics work - especially coop - I am really happy that clothing has no effect. Would it be overall deeper, with a far greater part of gameplay ask for equipment choices and not as swallow as it is now then and only then I would want to see clothing affect gameplay. For example those magical steathy ghillie suits being heavy as they are slowing down the player, reducing stamina significantly and making the player stick out of everyhting that isn't vegitation...
This is something I would really love to have in a game. Including a proper resource management - both team and equipment and add ammunition as well - I would love all of that. Hidden & Danergous 2 all the way!Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post![]()
BUT none of this expands the multiplayer experience Wildlands offers in any way. One of the reasons the coop was so well received was its accessibility. You can drop in a game and simply play. No huge preparations needed. Any approach to a mission could be tried out within minutes. Someone screws it up? Who cares, we can restart and just give it another try!
In other words there are good reasons to keep equipment and clothing options out of Wildlands. Would I prefer it the other way? Probably yes because I prefer a deep and complex single player to any multiplayer experience, yet again it wouldn't be Wildlands with the goals Ubisoft set for the game. Maybe if the next game takes a step away from coop and goes for a deeper single player experience we will see it in there, but I don't see Ubisoft giving up ground on issues that would reduce the success of the coop experience.
