    Remove Pings From The Scoreboard

There is animosity between players based on ping. The nature of competition in games leads to animosity surfacing and then being projected onto other players, with any stats to hand being used to bash the player. High ping or low ping, both are used to bully other players even though they have no control over their pings.

As long as the player can see which region he is playing in and his own ping, it is enough information to play the game.

I can understand players' frustrations with 'netcode' errors etc. But the bullying and harassment aspect of it is not needed, and serves no purpose.

I agree that bullying/harassment isn't warranted at all, because for the most part, people can't really control their ping (though those that have a high one know it, and almost always use 3-speed operators so they can further abuse it). But I would say that I'd still like to see the ping rate displayed, so I can see how bad Ubisoft continually screws me over with their "we can't do simple math" match-making. I can picture a dev sitting in corner, drooling, and saying "hmmmmmm….let's make it so that the guy with a ping of 9, plays against somebody with a ping 5-10 times higher than him...it'll be fun watching the 3-speed operators zig-zag back and forth like this is COD, while he shoots and whiffs at the high-pinger's ghost".

My point of view is that, as players, we don't know the real cause of the errors which are blamed on player's pings. We don't know where the 'blame' lies and blaming players doesn't help.

I think it leads to a lot of bullying and general nastiness. Maybe even racism.

Since any problems with the game are clearly the responsibility of Ubisoft, and not the players, all concerns should be addressed to Ubisoft via the forums, Reddit, Twitter or Support etc.

This is why I think other player's pings should be hidden on the scoreboard.

so when i shoot a EU player in the head 3 times and he doesnt die cause he's pinging its my fault? or they can just region lock the game and ping will not be an issue

You don't really know if it's his ping that causes that. Even if it is his ping there's no point blaming him since it's Ubisoft's responsibility to fix any in-game issues.

I think it's better to just play the game and let Ubisoft do their job while minimising toxicity by removing any stats that might be a focus for angry players.

Imagine what it's like on European servers where there are so many languages and cultures. It's just too tempting to blame an error on a player due to his ping.

Players are using ping as an excuse to vent frustrations at opponents whether the other player's ping is high or low. That shows that people are just bashing based on ping for the sake of it.

Sometimes I think the balance of respect for other players has changed for the worse because of this sort of situation.

so people that eat headshots and just so happen to have high ping 9/10 times isnt enough or a link between the two... not to mention peekers advantage

But is that the fault of the player? I don't think it is, and I worry that it's just an excuse to go nuts at someone. For all we know there could be problems with the servers or the way the game works that has nothing to do with ping.

I say that because both high ping and low pings are being blamed for errors in game-play.

Because of this I think removing pings from the scoreboard would be a good idea. Only Ubisoft can fix any technical issues with the game, anyway.

Complaining to other players or blaming them fixes nothing and, from what I have seen in game, leads to bullying.

So many people are absusing high ping advantage, its not as terrible as in one of the previous season where everyone was apprently playing the game from Africa, but its still being abused, but no worries FindFixFinish, they have removed level to help hide smurf, i am sure they will remove the pings also to protect the ones abusing that also, cause in the end all ubisoft seems to do as of late is to protect everyone abusing, cheating and smurfing around.

Those players will do all that stuff anyway. The solutions to those problems dont lie in personal harassment. Ubisoft must find the right and proper ways to solve them.

In the meantime a lot of toxicity could be avoided if players had a bit more anonymity.

So hiding it will solve it, like hiding level of users ? The solution is not to hide the fact they cant fix those problems, but it seems its what they are doing now.

Toxicity is easy now to avoid, when u start a rank match just mute chat from enemy you dont really need to have conversations with them anyway, if someone on your own team is being a **** toward you, geuss what, you can mute chat and mic there also, case solved about the toxic things.

The muting of chat on enemy is what they should have done the first place a long time ago, instead they went on with the toxic ban wave, where again people was tricking people to write certain words etc. to get banned. Always pick the hard way to solve things, instead of the easy ones.
