I've been down this road already 😕 you'll get nothing for your troubles aside from a deep self loathing
It's been asked for 1000 times already. The official answer is that Story Mode ornaments are not the same as Multiplayer ornaments on the technical level. They should however make one and make it really hard to get so not everyone has it.
