    Fun in the UG

I'm currently levelling up a third character in the UG... choose D3-FNC build, set the mission up for max XP (as far as lvl24 allows) and off we go...

End of second "wave" I get the dreaded delay.... ok, Hunters inbound! I retreat to a defensible position with shield deployed and kill the first one easily. Now it gets "interesting"... the next 5mins is spent CHASING his mate around the map. This bad-a$$ would rather run than engage CQB.... I've never met such a passive Hunter. It was a lot of fun turning the tables and being the one to do the hunting for a change, and yes I did a dance over his lifeless body,. It was payback for the countless funky spawns and "shock ammo slides" that have cost me lives in the past. Revenge is sweet. : -)

I did a 3 stage some months ago with randoms and 5 Hunters spawned. Two came for me and my (D3) and eventually I killed them with the shield only. In the lift later my team were clapping me little knowing it happened only because I had run out of SMG amo lol.

That's a problem when you wear the D3 set and play a mission with 5 directives (including the directive with low ammo capacity) - the ammo runs out when fighting the hunter. Once I had to kill the bastards with pistol. I needed 5 minutes. Since then, I have been more cautious.

UG is my personal favorite, and the mode is definitely going to help push me past the 3k Commendation score mark I need.

I like it too, but after the last comm, I needed a break. The 500 phases are a lot of work. Keep going!

Sweet! I spawned a pair a few minutes ago during a run and finished #2 with the shield, but most damage had already been done with SMG so I'm not counting it. My next personal goal.... take a Hunter down with shield alone. :-)

With Compensator active I use an ammo support station as my second skill. I may experiment with an MMR as a secondary for those hard-to-reach occasions e.g. LMB who love playing hide-and-seek.

To me it feels the most "alive" e.g I had to take out Riker supply dumps last night, and the last one was made easy due to a Cleaner patrol kicking seven shades out of the defenders when I got there. I just snuck in and blew the cache amidst all the fiery carnage, then dealt with their combined anger! :-)

I think random hunter spawns in the UG are about the only thing keeping the game alive for me in PVE. They bring a bit of edge to the game and yes there's a bit of granade spam and disrupt but a more realistic touch to harder content than legendary.I think not introducing them to the LZ was a big mistake by the devs could have brought the game alive a bit and provided more challenge than LZ bosses and NPCS. Imagine WSP as a Hunter killing zone much better than the silly (grouped up) factions spawning we get.

I hate underground it is the worst part of the whole game, the hunters help, but the underground feels like a bolt on that should not be , i still play it but just to finish the commendations, and only once or twice a week, It could have been so much better ,you feel like you are running in circles , turning of switches and dodging stupid flashbangs , fire and low visibility and npc clubbing you through doors..it all feels the same ,and feels so rushed and unfinished, No real challenge ,

I agree to a certain amount. It is interesting for new or casual players, imo. On the other hand,it is quite monotonous and no real challenge for the veterans. After I finished my UG comms, I did not come back for two months. I was so bored of this mode. Now, I play it once in a while and that is ok.

Like everything else in this game UG just isn't rewarding enough. I actually get upset when Hunters don't spawn because they're almost always a guaranteed exotic of classy (or both)
