[SUGGESTION] - Day / night cycle.

This may be a bit beyond what's possible for GR Wildlands but it's something I'd like to see in a future GR game: at the moment night time seems to last for at most about 15 minutes real time. I'd love to be able to adjust the length of the day / night cycle, up to and including real time. I'd also like to see day & night being of equal length, or at least roughly equal length adjusted for the location of the game. I think this would give us a good reason to use night vision & some tasty night time colour schemes for our gear.

I recall someone once tested the day/night cycle themselves (Cons72). This was his assessment:

3 minutes equal 1 game hour

Night is about 2100 to 0400.

About 21 minutes of night and 51 minutes of light.

Clock is at the right of the display when using drone and binoculars.
I never tried it myself so I can't confirm. I'm sure there are more tests like this somewhere in these forums though.

....but yeah, an option to choose length of day/night would be nice. ....or even a way to sleep or wait until a desired time.

What I would like to see in this game is "uncheatable darkness" during night time: essentially make the use of night vision useful and a priority during night ops (just like in Insurgency or ARMA3, where even if you adjust your brightness settings at max is still dark)

Aye, adjustable Time would be great. Just like in FC2 or MGSV.

Indeed - not only control the time of day via any method which has been used previously in Ubisoft games (as in FC2 & 4 for example), but also I'd sure like heo nights to be longer.

Perhaps an option to have, say, three different settings for one's day/night cycle length.

It'd be great to have variable darkness levels. In a well lit city I could imagine that night time wouldn't necessarily be all that dark with street lights & glow from windows of buildings, but out in the middle of nowhere and in the deep jungle the night should be absolutely pitch black, depending on the moon phase I guess.

That would work. Setting 1: as it is now. Setting 2: 2 hours of day then 1 hour of night. Setting 3: real time, adjusted for location. The day / night cycle in La Paz, Bolivia at the current time of year looks like it's nearly 12 hours day / 12 hours night so I think 12/12 could work well for a "realistic" setting.

A variable you could set from real time to a 5 minute day night cycle would keep everyone happy. I'm alright with it as it is, it feels natural over a play session, but an ability to change the ratio is a good idea.

Unless the latest updates fix the nights, I rather play during the day because the enemy w/o NVGs can see you like they can during the day and playing at night gave no additional advantage... personally speaking of course. As a matter of fact, an option to forward the time like FC would not hurt the gameplay in my opinion, it would make it better because we each can play in the times we want.
