Why hasn't Ubisoft added map descriptions?

They would provide infinitely more info, guidance, or story/scene setting for maps, be it single player or multiplayer.

It just seems like such a BASIC feature that requires a simply textbox that would make a huge difference to the authenticity or guidance of maps.

Halo Forge does it's map sharing best, and I think Ubisoft could follow suit.

    Simple Answer:

    Ubisoft didn't want to.

    Why?

    No f.cking idea.

I assume it'd be due to the amount of effort required by Ubi to police descriptions, keeping them pg and the like.

For starters, the whole description doesn't make sense in a Far Cry game, rated 18+ with blood, gore, swearing, controversial topics etc.

But beyond that can't they just add a bad word filter?? Do what halo does, or explain why you can't do it, Ubisoft.

I agree, it doesn't make sense, but what can you expect from a company like Ubisoft?

They should add text option it to the way points you can set and the text should show in the hud. Now you can set new way points, but nobody will notice because its not directly visible to the user that there is a new way point. The bad word filter is not necessary. They gave us the A to Z already and I have not seen anybody abuse it yet for bad words in their map even though they had the option to do so.
