Any chance we'll get the early DZ in TD1??

Unpopular, probably, but... If TD2 does indeed come with much more PVE content, raids and what not.... Any chance we'll get the hard as nails DZ we enjoyed (at least I did) in early TD???

I understand the DZ was made a cakewalk to lure more people in but early on DZ5&6 were menacing areas, were NPCs hit like trucks. Any chance of this?

Context is everything. Here's a simple fact; Division 2 will hardly play like Div 1. Everyone who has played it says it feels like Div 1, and the controls feel the same but the gameplay is very different. Every Div 2 gameplay video I've seen Div 1 players are getting wrecked trying to play it like Div 1. One content creator mention it felt like the NPC's had a large out of cover damage buff. Thats a long way to say probably everything is going to hit like trucks if you are out of cover. I have no idea how they will try to prevent a sniper PvP meta in the DZ, but that looks to be the obvious conclusion from what we know.

SMGs could be weak and I also expect the grenade launcher to be the best PvP specialist - AoE + Stagger = Yikes. While the grenade system has been changed, the grenade launcher allows us to run around with a tactical and lethal grenade, or should I say lethal grenades.

They would have to disable specialists weapons when entering.

    ..the DZ?

Division has never been a game about disabling or prohibiting anything regarding your build (unless you count 6 piece Sentry in PvP). They want you to be able to use the gear and weapons you spent hours perfecting, which sounds like something you'd high five the devs for. Remember the 1.6 Historian? I made a suggestion of banning it from Last Stand, same with the Airburst Seekers. Doing this would have prevented those things from getting hit with a nerf, imo. Plus, Last Stand is a game mode, one in which could have been a lot more balanced for competitive sake, so banning things wouldn't have been so far-fetched.

Instead, we got those nerfs for the sake of still being able to use those things in the game mode. Still could have been used in the DZ, though.

As for the DZ, disabling specialist weapons break continuity. I walk into the DZ and suddenly can't use my specialist weapon? Practically speaking, what force is preventing me from reaching over my shoulder and grabbing it?

What systems will work and if any won't in the DZ are absolute speculation, at this stage. I'd be curious to know if more people DID in fact like the hard, and with the DZ 1-6 tiers of difficulty, DZ we had at the beginning or not. It's safe to think that a lot of mechanics are going to be adjusted, so making assertions regarding the removal of this or that ability, or even the strength of this or that category of weapons hold little truth. We know JACK about that.
