I know the ranked is in beta but i was playing for 2 hours won almost all games ranked up once and then i disconnected i lost ALL progress and it was in the beginning of a game
i didn't even do it on purpose it was just another disconnect wich has been a problem since beta
if the servers are so unstable you shoul'd not lose ranking or get a punishment for disconnecting

The following comment was placed in recent patch notes to explain this issue: "Some players were bypassing the penalty system by using alternative means to quit their Ranked Duel matches. As a consequence, all quits, intended or not, will be penalized. We believe that this change is required in order to stop exploits and toxic behaviors."
We also stated "Now that all Quits in Ranked play are being penalized, we have decided to significantly lower the time penalty not to overly punish players with momentary technical issues. We will monitor the situation and may further adjust this Matchmaking Time Penalty, if required."
I am sorry to hear you had a disconnection event that caused a loss of rank, and I have certainly had losses myself that occurred due to connection issues in some of my favorite games. If you face disconnections often, please consider our connection troubleshooting steps for For Honor.
