I was playing on Scrapyard as a Sniper and I was sitting in a building with a teammate, I was on second floor and he was on the top floor. Our building gets hit by a Gas Drone and my teammate starts taking damage but I don't. I figured that he wouldn't take anymore once he went down to my floor but that didn't happen. I never went to the top floor while the gas was still on our building just incase so I wouldn't have to take damage as well. So I'm guessing how the gas works is once you take damage from the gas, there is no way you can escape unless you exit the circle, but the gas works kind of like the mortar.
