Hi everyone,
I know it is a little off topic, however, a few years ago there was a slightly modified version of Settlers 4 released for smartphones titled The Settlers HD. Back then the game was limited to be played only on a few different devices and unfortunately I owned an unsupported smartphone (even though it was more powerful than the supported ones). I played the game on my friend's phone and it was amazing. Basically the whole Settlers 4 game with controls optimized for touch screen. I think it was an amazing idea and the implementation was also quite nice. Unfortunately there were also some game breaking bugs that were never fixed (ferry ships didn't work IIRC).
The port was done by Gameloft. They have since removed the game from heir store, so it's impossible to buy it anywhere, which is a shame. There would only be a few modifications needed to the Gameloft's port - fix the ferries and somehow update the compatibility layer so the game runs on newer devices and we could play a full fledged Settlers game on our phones and tablets!
Could you ask around and find out how did Gameloft obtain license to the Settlers game, if there would be a possibility to get hands on their code and if there would be an opportunity to update their game so it could be re-released?

I would have bought this title in a heartbeat if it was available!
