Is shinobi bugged vs infinite light combos or am i doing something wrong?

Verified my account to make this post as I cant believe this is a thing. I put it down to lag the first time but its happened so often that i cant ignore it.

Started trying shinobi just to try something new. so im not 100% on the character. still dont know how to do the triple-dash fakeout but im fairly competant. Im D1 on characters that werent nerfed into the ground (mix of kensei and zerker). So im fairly certain its not just me being somehow terrible since i never run into this issue on any character but shinobi.

To get right into it, so far any character i have seen with a fast enough infinite chain spam, primarily aramusha and conq, can just infinitely spam attack you and as long as each attack is around 300ms your block never recovers from the stun of the last hit. you can attempt to start a dash, but you get hit doing it, and if you hold block in the correct direction, regardless of what direction the last attack came from (so i SURE its not just reflex guard) you dont recover from the stun in time to block it and you just get infinite combod to death unless you manage to deflect out.

i like this hero but if this is a legit thing and not some character mechanic im missing then how can i keep playing this when its an automatic loss if you take ONE conq bash or aramusha light?

its like the 5th time this has happened. has anyone else ran into this?

    same here

same here, once an orochi hit his first light attack, never been a scenario where I successfully blocked his next 2 light attacks, so it's always a guaranteed triple hit,

his new tri directional unavoidable slashes are the issure for me, the light is the problem.

tested and "somewhat" confirmed, Shinobi has longer recovery frame (and even longer on some ocation) that make enemy follow up attack guaranteed.

Quad dash: dash > dash > hold heavy > dash > dash – this can be repeated for more than four dashes, if you desire to BM.

    Here’s a video: https://vimeo.com/291595953

As for actual Shinobi attacking and defending, Shinobi’s guard decays quickly – I seriously mean that, it decays quicker than any other assassin (about 0.75(?) seconds). You need to aim to block just before the attack hits. I’m guilty of this, but if you swap too soon, it will fall off and you’ll get hit. As such, with that said, Shinobi is a, as I like to call it, ‘hit and run’ character. You should light > light > backflip away. Add in some dash > dash > kick > light > backflip.

Essentially, you have insane combo, mix-ups, and potential baits that you should not be stationary for too long. You need to bait, be smart, and capitalise on mistakes. Shinobi is not strong and really should get a buff for how weak it is, comparing it to Peacekeeper and Shaman.

Shinobi is highly fun, has insane potential, and infuriates people when played right. Practice deflecting, as parrying as Shinobi is an utter… annoyance.
