The coding of the NPCs is just ridiculous, nothing realistic about it no matter how you put it. And the same applies to controlling your character while walking thru the map. You get stuck on so many places, can cross barriers when going one way, not possible to reversed direction. The longer I play the more I notice these 'mistakes' giving the AI a huge advantage. When it is hard I am okay with it, but please stop the magical behavior of the AI when it comes to shooting, applying damage, moving, etc etc.Originally Posted by agentCoats Go to original post
9. While playing Survival in dark zone, I used pulse, scanned 5 enemies, moved in to first one that was between few crates against a wall. Aimed and walked slowly towards him, then when I could shoot he was gone. I thought okay, yet another bug or so. Walked past the spot and engaged the next one, then at the same time as I opened fire was shot in the back by that invisible enemy. Not sure if pulse is just broken or server tries to *crew me over. It also happens a lot when you pulse x amount of enemies, then engage and they start coming from all sides, x times x. For me these are game breaking issues because you can't fight against cheating AI that does so much damage you can't even move 3 ft before you are killed. Same when you want to roll out of cover, countless times it happened to me that my char started to climb on top of the objects for whatever reason.
I get this all the time playing legendaries - go into cover and I can visually see the NPCs turned away and shooting at a team mate and they are taking damage - pop my head up and instantly taking damage like they'd already been shooting at me for 2-3 seconds (hard to explain unless you experience it) and likewise I can visually see all the NPCs concentrating on me and taking a lot of damage yet team mates are also taking a lot of damage as if they are playing their own version of the game alongside me.Originally Posted by YodaMan 3D Go to original post
I'm guessing what isn't helping here is that the network architecture allows clients to run something like 2 seconds out of sync and then it still tries to put it all together best it can but that isn't the whole story.
I’ve had a similar experience with this. Was in the DZ yesterday and the landmark boss, wasn’t facing me or my friend but yet I was taking damage from him. They have magical bullets!Originally Posted by Rroff Go to original post
Yes, I know what you mean. There are so few players left in PVP Survival that it is an easier version of PVE, since you have almost all the loot for yourself - at least, when you are still alive after 15 minutes. This is an advantage for players who want to finish their commendations or try to break their own record etc, but it is very boring for those who really want to play PVP. I like the Survival PVP mode It is more authentic than LS or Skirmish, since there are no meta-builds, exotic weapons, D3 exploits etc Yesterday, for example, I played two rounds and both times my random team mates and the other few players in the game were true "pacifists". My team only wanted to clear LMs and extract; and the other players did never appear, although we constantly revealed our position by doing the LMs. For me, to be honest, this was a bit too easy and monotonous. Of course, I want to get better gear and extract in the end, but it is also fun to outwit and kill other players - even with the risk of getting killed myself.
