    [SUGGESTION] Intel gathering

the more i play the game and advance to the higher Tier levels, the more i feel there is something missing from the game.

the more you advance the enemies get more difficult to defeat but the way you collect intel stays the same. you photograph, hack or talk to someone
and all the points of interest are revealed to you. you complete one mission and the next is shown on the map.

Why not replace this with a more difficult system as you reach higher Tier levels.

for example: Bowman wants you to go after Nidia Flores. we know the location of her mansion so you scout the place for a while but she is not there.
Who will know where she is? Maybe one of her lieutenants? But where is he located? Karen provides you with a grainy picture of the guy and the CIA thinks
he is located in one of the small towns near the mansion. You relocate to one of the towns you think is the right location and use your drone to pinpoint
where the picture was taken. No joy but you get to talk to a rebel who knows where the lieutenant lives.

Meanwhile there are no markers on the map. You have to set them up yourself using what intel you have collected yourself.

This gives you the location of the lieutenant and you get tasked to interrogate him. After this is completed Karen provides you with another piece of intel
and you perhaps have to hack some laptop but again the exact location of the laptop is unknown. So you might want to talk to the rebels to find out where it is
located but which rebel would know such information? So you talk to one of the guys at your safehouse. he doesn't know but he can point you in the direction
of his superior. And so on....

And as you reach the higher Tier levels the intel gets more fuzzy and you must spend more time painting a clear picture of what is going on in this province.

You are looking for Rebel ops? talk to the higher echelons of the rebels. But first you need to find them, they will not just be walking the streets in fear
of being captured by Unidad or Santa Blanca.

You need resources? interrogate some local Mine boss or talk to locals at a market. At a market it is not wise to run around with your guns out because people will
not give you the information quickly. Perhaps a softer approach is more suited...

Want to raid supply convoys? Talk to the manager of a truck stop or gas stations. They would know when convoys are in the area. Or go out yourself in a helicopter or
    plane and find them yourself.

Want to know more about an area faster? try to locate a cartel underboss or a Unidad commander and raid their HQ.

All the while the CIA and Activity are providing you with new intel in the form of new Kingslayer Files aka Satellite images or Signals/Human intel that you will have to investigate for it to make sense.

And if you do not want to spend a lot of time collecting intel, you can do that. but it will increase the risk of failure and you maybe spend more time raiding locations
that may be not the one you are looking for creating more chaos and exposure for your team.

I feel this way you will get to act more like a Tier 1 unit by creating your own intel and missions.

This could also lead to a bigger role for the Activity in this game. they are mentioned a couple of times but you don't really get to interact with them. They could be a new source of Intel and guidance besides
Karen Bowman and the CIA. Sure, it will alter the main storyline of the game of Karen and her vendetta against Sueno but it could mean a whole new storyline for the game.
Bring in the whole intelligence and Spec Ops community to defeat the cartel.

Something i have been thinking about and wanted to share with you all.

It might be more fun for the whole game really. But maybe optional. Or maybe an element for Ghost mode.

Tier One mode is about making the game unrealistically hard. Your suggestion would make the game realistically hard and more authentic and interesting.

I earned my 3000 prestige credits and my carbon gold exoskeleton and am more or less done playing tier because of the silly godlike enemy AIs.

But I'd love to experience this more interesting and dynamic form of investigation you suggest.

There is precedent for some of the ideas you've described. The DLCs both feature a kind of side mission where you are given some photos and maybe a scrap of map and told to find something. In Narco Road it's a missing smuggler car full of drugs you're supposed to find and tag. In Fallen Ghosts it's a civilian informant helping Unidad and Los Extranjeros you're supposed to find and kill.

I'd love to see things like that in the main campaign, either vanilla and Ghost mode or just Ghost mode.

This would be an even greater game to play, it would be more of a military shooter than the eye candy version... perhaps for the sequel?

    perhaps for the sequel?
why wait for the sequel? Sure, it will take time and resources to make this a reality but i really believe this could re-energize the current playerbase and even attract new players to the game.

Mix this with regular updates/patches and new content and it could give this game a bigger lifespan.

Oh, no, no, noooo, don't misconstrue, I am sold but your sugestions are not new and after a year and a half we are still poking at them to give us more shooter mechanics than eye candy.
