When an enemy jumps off a ledge and goes to one shot you, you should be able to point your sword up towards them and they will get stabbed. With shugoki or anyone who doesn’t have a sharp end of the sword if someone jumps down they break there ribs from the fall onto the flat end of the weapon. If someone is jumping off the ledge to kill you on console and if they are locked onto you that is when there should be a one second option to click one of the buttons. On Xbox it is A B X or Y. The button would be random so you do not know which one you should click and it would be different every time but if you get the button correct then that would be when your character would point the weapon upward and kill them.

I personally think the ledge jump attack should be removed from the game altogether. It doesn't bring any fun to the combat and it only feels cheesy. Jump and kill someone from 10 meters above and you can run away unscathed. It's just to arcady for this game.
