Ok so, I was doing some ranked tournament to get the Ornament and Engram for my LB since i like to collect items for him. I had no rank yet so i faced off against scrubs most of the times except for like 1-2 times. After playing the tournament for about 6 times i finally got my rank. Diamond 1! I was quite happy since it's kind of a badge of honor. But then came the finals, I knew that i had to throw the match to get the engram so i let the guy kill me and that was it. I sadly didnt get the Engram even tho this was the 2nd time because of.... "Ubisoft". But i then noticed... I ranked down. To platinum 5. I wasnt to shocked since, well i was Diamond 1 (11%). But then i saw that my platinum was "Platinum 5 (28%).

This is so incredibly stupid that i ranked down SO MUCH over 1 match. And it's even more stupid since i'm kind of forced to Throw the game to get the Item. I dont think i deserve to go down 83% for losing 1 MATCH.

I've fricking done the tournament 4 times now and each time i've come in 2nd place and i still havent gotten the ****ing embossing, wtf is this

I'm pretty sure they changed it recently so you don't have to throw a game to get 2nd placement rewards. You get them when you win as well.

yup.If there is no other reward from the higher tiers that is. Although I think now you have the chance to get a reward from all tiers.
Engravings are also not the only rewards you can get on the heroic tier level. You should check that out first then you get more of a feeling what you can expect.
