There are many reasons for the green pistol. Half of the PVP guys in DZ have a blue pistol equipped. They hope that unexperienced players underestimate them so that they are easy victims. And another reason is, for example, in case of Tactician, Many Tacticians use a second weapon or pistol with lower gear score in order to be able to activate certain weapon talents which normally cannot be reached with 9000 electronicis.

Yep, cant remember how low my TA set is but with the lower level gun and purple mods it def isnt anywhere close to a max gear score.

Or a low level pistol with Coolheaded to get Signature skills back quickly, without having to invest in a weapon's killing ability.

Most times he wont be visible right when you take cover but if you wait for about 15-30 seconds he walks into view, I sticky him then run back to right outside the gates to finish that section.

For the second section, you can usually hit the entire first group with a sticky maiming them enough to just need a seeker to finish them off and then its just whatever is needed to get through it, as long as people don’t rush its pretty simple.

On the next section, i try to sneak up top right when i get there and sticky the medic but usually he is too far in the back so i just start chucking seekers at them and using those as gauges where everyone is, if its clear i sneak up periodically to sticky the medic. This is the part that takes the longest but i rarely die here.

Once you get to the checkpoint you can hop out of the window and jump up on the ledge but as soon as you do turn around and go back into the window you just hopped out of, you can sticky and seeker all of them from there. note that once you take out that first wave that 4 shotgunners will spawn with you inside that room but as long as you are not in melee range(stay to the left and if you are really worried then go to the back corner on the left hand side by the open fridge) they will simply all run and jump out of the window like you arent even there and you can murder them all with one round of seekers.

On the next section the worst part is once you kill off a few of them a shotgunner is going to appear pretty much directly behind you, if you arent ready for him its all over, this is basically the only part i ever die at simply because i forget he is coming no matter how many times i tell myself to not forget he is coming so i start wondering where im taking fire from and am dead before i realize the shotgunner is behind me pumping full of lead and/or giving me the one shot melee.

For the final section, I keep my seekers on until i kill everyone except the hunter on the final part and then i switch them to the turret. Good luck out there agent.

Build info: 5 pc Tactician with Relentless. Rarely ever even use a medkit. I run the DTE/EAD build with purple mods but thats not a necessity.
Thanks so much for the specific tips. I just finished my first solo Amherst. That fridge trick worked like a charm and it's something I would never have thought of doing.

Any idea what spawns that last roof spawning shot gunner? He killed me more than once. Is it when you kill any first of the enemy in that last bit?

If you're running a Classy Tac build , use flash bang sticky as crowd control if needed . Crazy fast cool down ( mine is 9.2 seconds with 50 % skill haste.)

5 Tac and a Relentless back pack for my heals. PC player.

    Method 1

    Use cover
    Seekers out by your side.
Draw the shot gunners in - Flash Bang sticky on the floor directly in front of them - Make sure you're not going to get flashed as well.
Open up with your Big AL LMG , dont reload - swap to your LW M4. Aim for the chest and it will kick up and control the recoil for the head shots.
Have a shock grenade equipped just in case and be ready to roll out of the way.

    Method 2

    Use cover
BFB them into oblivion , without blowing yourself up ( Yes , I've done that once or twice )
    Seekers by your side
Big AL, but you wont need it

    Job done.

Skills are tools , use the right tools for the job. I often find that standing your ground is sometimes better than running and getting shot in the back .

Learn the waves and swap skills ready for them.

Most importantly , learn from your mistakes !

Also remember that Legendary is meant for groups to play, Yes its possible to solo them and I often do , but at times it can be brutal for the slightest mistake .....but that's the whole point of it.

Patch 1.3 - that was mega hard . This is a cake walk now days lol.

One tip I can give you - instead of waiting for them to rush out at you at the main gate, walk in and climb up on the small roof on the left - It's easier than you think. I use a high electronics outfit and pummel them with clusters and sticky from here on in. Takes forever, but you can get through it
