Not sure if this has been reported, but I've not seen anything about it.
So normally when you have NODs that you can flip up and down when you change vision modes---Sam Fisher's goggles, the OpsCore ballistic helmet with NODs from the pre "SO2" microtransaction items, the Team Wendy bump helmet with a monocular NOD from the new pool of battle crate items, et cetera---your character will reach up and flip the NODs up and down accordingly.
However if you have a weapon with a vertical foregrip in your hands when you change vision modes your character will not reach up to flip the NODs up or down, they just magically go up and down by themselves. It looks weird and is quite immersion breaking.
The issue does not occur if you use an angled foregrip or grenade launcher or have nothing at all on the lower rail.#
I play on PC if that's relevant.
I'd love to see this issue fixed in the September update. Thanks!
Ami
Me too, hun.
I prefer the look and feel of vertical foregrips, but I find the magical handsfree up and down movement of NODs---which I am wearing nearly all the time because for realism I don't like to use alternate vision modes unless my character is actually wearing NODs---so distracting that I normally just give up and put angled grips on all my weapons instead. ((((
Hah, no worries.
When I do an American accent I call everyone "dude", it just feels natural.
It's a fun word, and "dudette" is an utterly ridiculous word. So. You know. XD
Thanks for pointing this out, are you able to capture this happening somehow in order to show us?
Sure, here're the NODs magically going up and down when my weapon has a vertical foregrip.Originally Posted by Ubi-Lucipus Go to original post

And here are the NODs working correctly with the same weapon equipped with an angled foregrip instead.

Apologies for the quality, I just threw that together really quickly.
Thank you very much for this, Ami.Originally Posted by non-exist-ent Go to original post
