like so many players i am tired of the move spam. yea i know git gud those who say that are the move spammers. so here is how to fix it. first make moves use more stamina. swing a sword multiple times same as a heavy weapon one time. more swings more stamina at a faster rate. second cool downs on all moves. this would require some tweaking and balancing. to see which are needed for there kit more often. centurion for example kick very short cool down seconds would do. the jump stab spam on the ground move a much longer cool down. same for warden a few second cool down to stop the shoulder spam. give each move a symbol that can pop up on the screen small out of the way. so you know that move is on cool down. guard break again increased stamina cost the more its spammed over and over. this would bring balance a more fair and diveres fight. players would have to actually think when to use a move. use more moves from the heros kit.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely forward this on to the team. One thing that I will mention however, is that it's kind of the core essence of fighting games to be able to use whichever move you want when you want to use it. Cooldowns would break the core of the games mechanics. It works for games like World of Warcraft, but in a fighting game like For Honor, a player should be able to use whichever move they want to initiate or react when they see fit.

Yep the spamming problem is literally ruining the game, on another hand Ubi-Jimothy said it well, cooldown would change all the game mechanics, it is not possible.
Since his rework more than 50% of people play warden in ranked, i'm so sick of this SB spam! Seriously i just fought 5 warden in a row! Every time a character is reworked and op people overuse them. We had spamming orochi, conq, shaman, warden, glad, cent.. And as soon as they are not op all those toxic people don't play them anymore. And you can be sure it will be the same story with the Wu Lins comming..
The noisome part of the community is ruining it all,. Those people are garbage but this situation is the dev team fault, if the reworks were better this wouldn't happens..
i agree yet the spam is killing the player base. less players less money for ubi. people quit when a game is no fun. no fun in being cheesed rank is un winnable do to light spam. so my suggestion again a rapidly increasing stam cost the more a move is used. let it reset its base value when another is used. cooldowns could work not in the tradional sense no. but use a move other not light or a heavy a specific one like wardens shoulder. one sec cooldown if your not spamming you wont notice. use again 2 sec cooldown then 3 secs. same for light spam back to back small increases a quarter second half a second. only would effect spammers. use another move no it resets. players would use more of the kits and pick heroes based off of the kit. not a single move or speed of light attacks.Originally Posted by Ubi-Jimothy Go to original post
for honor is a skilled game that should require exactly that. the devs should enforce and stand by that. it is what seperates this from almost every other fighting game. spamming light attack and the same move over and over. requires no skill it is cheese and explotation of the game mechanics. needs to be fixed it is the number one complaint of all players. drives away new players who do not yet know how to stop it. veteran players also have a hard time with it. boring to fight match after match with move spamming. que up for ranked no one blocks or parries. its pure light spam spin move dodge light spam rinse and repeat. want to see what happens when a company fails to address the communities major issues. look at wargamming world of tanks console is all but dead. they ignored loud vocal cries of changes did nothing. they let light tank abusers and the small minority of so called good players. wreck the game to scared to nerf tanks that need it. ubisoft please have the courage to make changes when needed. for the new players and veterans alike.Originally Posted by Gemoroda Go to original post
i hate light attack spam but i really don't like the idea of cds. its going to take that element of mixup out of the game. i think that if a move is getting abused then maybe there could be a bigger star drain the more times u use it in a given time period.. like if u spam light attack as aramusha or something the stamina will start going up to keep you from going. maybe on the conc light spam or shoulder bash.. maybe things like that. not sure, but i agree with the spam getting annoying.
