Could you shed some light and explain what do you mean "multiplayer via uplay" and how this system is going to work?
How connecting to game is gonna look like? Will this function resemble the old lobby system with chat rooms and everything?
What about new fuctions such as community mapbase that's automatically synced with the game? Do you intend to fix the in-game multiplayer desync bug and SE errors which often occur after a player leaves or even mid-game?
cheers!
Several people have already reported synch issues with some of the titles and our developers are aware of it. We'll do our best to iron out these issues for the History Editions.
Regarding details for the multiplayer system, especially regarding the older titles I'll try and get a detailed answer for you to make sure the info are up-to-date.
I'm sure he is working on it, but he has other things too and maybe the answer hasn't been given yet. So you might need to be somewhat more patientOriginally Posted by Maru_93 Go to original post

Hello Ubisoft,
How about today?
The "lobby" (if you can even call it lobby) in Settlers 3 is either an abomination or a joke.
It's nothing like original Settlers 3 used to have. I feel robbed basically of my money and lied to.
You have advertised this as "Multiplayer via Uplay" yet it's nothing like a multiplayer should be - the only way to join a game to someone is using Quick Play which forces me to pick map, etc - and then proceeds to throw me into RANDOM lobby that has nothing to do with the settings that I have used.
There is no game list to choose from too, this in unacceptable.
Multiplayer over LAN also is almost impossible, now. Since the input field for the host ip adress was removed, no local games can be found anymore. I have no idea if the search algorithm for open LAN games has gotten overhouled, but in the original The Settlers III - Gold Edition the input of the host ip address was necessary to join a game. Otherwise the host game couldn't be found - like now.
Any update to this thread??? you know - multiplayer (especially lobby) is one of the worst i have ever seen (if not the worst). Removing LAN was... stupid, sorry for that, but yes - it was stupid decision. You simply cannot play vs/with random people. I feel like Ubisoft was lying to me just to convice me to buy ths piece of...
And another point - settings of the game? Graphic etc? WHO THE HELL WAS DOING THAT? It looks like some "i see this for first time of my life" did that! Really bad result of years of waiting...
