First and foremost I am new to Wildlands, but during the few hours I have spent with the game there are game breaking Bugs and glitches that need addressing A.S.A.P.
1.Graphical issues - Whenever I use any of the Ghillie items the game start to freak out with the ghillie almost creating graphical walls that I am unable to see through and as time goes on it would get so bad that I would need to restart the game. Happens regardless of graphics settings.
1.1. Sticking with graphics the game has this weird fuzz to the plants and trees when looking around that does not go away no matter what I turn off along with environment popping in when getting out of the car or buildings and this is on a system with 16GB RAM and a GTX 1080.
1.2. Lastly the game would start to drop frames with extended play time or the more of the map you travel to. Unacceptable.
2. Stupidly annoying AI - This is for enemies, Allies, civilians etc.
2.1. Allies - I have no way to ask my Allies to stay on the ground while circle with a Helo or anything helpful. They spawn in your car when you drive away, they feel more like a cheat than an ally. They serve no purpose other than baby you through the game. why can I not ask one ally to stay on a hill while 2 accompany me into the village the entire thing feels intuitive.
2.2. Civilians - Are stupid from jumping in front of my car, or screaming by in their car only to kill me with their driving honestly the idiot that thought, you know what we want is to mimic GTA needs to be moved to a secretary position. It has no place in a serious game like this, I agree that you could be run over in real life also but when you play on ghost mode you get killed by random BS its not funny anymore.
2.3. The Enemies - Honestly here we are doing OK, however too many times have I been seen through a wall especially in some of the smaller bases on the map. then there is also the fact that I would sneak past an enemy standing right in front of me yet I get spotted by the one that's 500m away WTF, or how about the fact that an enemy is looking in a completely different direction from my position yet he SOMEHOW gets the suspect bar going. Honestly I can on and on here, being shot through rocks etc.
3. Your Character - Honestly I expected way more here, the movement sucks. How did you come up with this nonsense on the backbone of division???????
You can not sprint while crouched REALLY!!! I can't move dead bodies out of sight so other NPCS can't see who I just killed when my friend gets downed I can't drag him to safety for the resurrection, THAT'S ON TOP THE FACT THE RES TIMER IS SO F-ING SHORT!!!!!!!!!!! considering in GHOST mode I can't just rush in to save someone as I might die as well. The movement is so clunky sometimes why not just give us the option to have Division like controls by locking behind cover with a button instead of this free move Sh@Ite. I really wish Bohemia would just get a hold of the graphics engine and something similar to your game. all the rest of you would go out of business.
Its an absolute disgrace that this game released 1 year ago and its still in an ALPHA state but is still priced at FULL RETAIL, How the ACTUAL F did manage that. Unless these issues and countless others are resolved this game is a disgrace to the Ghost Recon name and the UBISOFT brand.
I have have plenty more bugs on my list but at this point I am so disappointed I decided that if you even care a little for this game you can contact me for more details.
You have my account details
Another little addition
Quitting the game to main menu basically breaks the game, it crashed back to desktop only to start afterwards again. However this time most of my unlocks ad sometimes my saves are all gone.
Good Work UBISOFT on this one, simply magical its magical what AAA companies can do if they set their minds to it.
Yeah. I noticed that, too, especially on Ghost Mode or DLC (Fallen Ghosts, Narco Road). "Quit to Main Menu" is essentially "Quit to Desktop" with an added script to "Play" again. However, you'll notice that in between, it fails to synchronize your progress with the cloud, resulting in the chronic and unresolved major bug that everyone's complaining about.
You're better off always "Quit[ting] to Destop", and then pressing "Play" again manually. This way you'll see the sync window popup (after "Quit[ting] to Destop), and reduce -- not eliminate -- the probability of the sync bug.
I agree with you. The sync bug simply illuminates a systemic failure. Having the user make constant backups of files -- or other workarounds -- is incompetence. If a system is prone to failure, it should have a built-in multiple-redundancy backup system in order to sustain fuctionality, even after a source of failure has been discovered and remedied. It's a premature product release and the consumer is uncompensatorily bearing the burden of testing.
