So in the latest Assassins Creed Odyssey Dev video they mentioned that Medusa's lair was a relic of the first civ, equally it seems that a piece of first civ technology is what gives her her power, it just got me thinking...
As someone who isn't as knowledgeable in the Assassins Creed lore as I know some others are here on the forums, do we have any examples of this happening in AC lore before? Like do we have examples of first civ technology affecting people in this way or giving them powers like we see happening in Odyssey?
Here's the video by the way in case you haven't already seen it:
Love the beginning comment about her: "Yes, that's Medusa.. and no, you can't romance her"![]()
I can see right now that I'm gonna be a Statue 100x's times over. Too bad I can't take a recruited Merc or 2 with me. This game looks like more of a challenge than Origins was. (might do Easy level on a first playthru).
I think it's brilliant linking her w/ Isu. I hope they jam OD w/ 1st Civ & MD lore bcuz I think fans who have been following it deserve it after all this time and that it sets up the direction they're going to take on future Lore content properly - whatever direction they decide to take with it. AC should be cleaned & tuned up.
Thanks for the vid
I've been begging to see an Isu straggler still living on among human society, being treated as a god, for years (this isn't my original account, but for some reason my real account can't make new posts and the admins don't help me with it, so here we are).
If they do it this time, I will be thrilled. It's been promised ever since the statuette hunt in Monteriggioni.
Well, the Pieces of Eden in general have their own abilities generally, but specifically I think we haven't really seen anything like this before.Originally Posted by Stainless001 Go to original post
Then again, I don't think we've necessarily seen much of what happens with prolonged, careless exposure either. Assassins like Altair and Ezio were cautious when dealing with their Apples, so I guess it's reasonable enough to assume that this type of corruption is a possible side effect.
This is true, and I mean we've seen the effects and powers that pieces of Eden can have, I believe that one of the snakes in Medusa's hair is what's giving her her power although that's me grasping simply because one of the snakes looks different. Either way very interesting and I agree with whats been said above, hopefully this will be an opportunity for Isu lore to find a safe return back to the video game storylines.Originally Posted by cawatrooper9 Go to original post
Lore is obviously not my forte' but it would make sense to me that alot more of it would be in this game since it predates all other time periods we've played. For players who are angry or let down by RPG elements and choice of 2 characters, it might be a better game to pick up with Isu & MD having a stronger presence. Jus sayin. =)Originally Posted by Stainless001 Go to original post
