[Bug] EMP effects not applying to vehicles that is far away from player.

If you use your EMP drone to apply EMP effect to an NPC driven vehicle(think convoy trucks) that is more that 200 meters away from you (and all other players), then the EMP effect won't be applied to the vehicle properly. It will keep on driving like nothing happened.

BUT, before the EMP timer runs out, if you look at the vehicle through a 4x/6x scope, or if the vehicle comes into within 50 meters from you, the EMP effect will be re-applied.

This indicates that the actual EMP effect is somehow linked to the visual effect. So if the target vehicle is too far from you that the visual effect is not rendered, then the actual EMP effect is also not applied.

Could you possibly provide video of what occurs? That would help me to report this issue. Thanks!

Also noticed the exact issue described today.
Food convoy that were hit by EMP will slow down while the drone self-destruction plays out.
When the camera goes back to the character the vehicles under the effect of EMP will start accelerating again.
Aiming at the convoy with the TX5i and the vehicle appears to suddenly jerk forward as if slamming on the brakes and stop.

Second instance was a cartel driving a lambo, the EMP'd lambo quickly speeds away after camera goes back to the character. I chased this one and noticed the same sudden braking only when I got really close to it.

Both cases were on the Koani salt flats so there wasn't any terrain in the way.

EMP has been unreliable before if the target wasn't in direct line of sight, but this new behaviour I don't recall seeing before.

Like I said, it's obvously linked to the [sparking and bolts] visual effect. if the
visual effect is not rendered, the EMP don't work.

I'm not seeing this bug metioned in today's patch notes, so I suppose it will not get fixed?

Hi is there an update on this please? I can confirm this bug is alive and well as of 12th May 2019. Unless you have line of sight to EMPd vehicle, the function is absolutely useless when it comes to vehicles.Currently the only thing EMP is effective for is killing base defenses and bringing down choppers (sometimes). Definitely ruins the EMP function for me.
