Can't start game, Uplay asks for activation key | Forums

Just got the free starter edition from steam, when trying to launch the game Uplay asks for an activation code. Any ideas how to resolve this?

Start steam.
Go to Library.
Find For Honor and click on it to get to the game's page.
Look to the far right, under "Links" you should have a number of entries starting with "Community hub", "Discussions" and "Related groups".
There should be an entry called "CD key". Click that.
A new window will open with your CD key in it. The button in the bottom left will copy it to your clipboard so you can ctrl+v it in the uplay launcher.
