    (Suggestion) Rail options

I know this has been brought up before, lets see more rail options. as in options for the side like a flashlight, the ability to put the ATPIAL laser sight on the top rail, etc. I'd love to see these customization options. Hell, I'd take this over more icons that clearly don;t fit in bolivia

Just out of curiosity (not to contend) but why do you want a "Flashlight"?

    Stimmt!

For realism's sake I've stopped using night and IR vision unless I am actually wearing NODs at the time, and I would really like to be able to put a light on my weapon to give me an alternative source of illumination for when I just want to wear different headgear.

And, yes, putting lasers and rangefinders on whatever rail you want would be sweet, more customisation possibilities are always welcome. Our weapons, like our characters' faces and clothes, are a great source of selfexpression in game.

Lot's of operators use high powered flashlights. When they shine it going into a room it essentially blinds the target with light..now that effect probably wouldn't be put into the game, but just for realism sake.

You could give the light the same affect as suppressing fire, make enemy AIs shy away from it briefly, buy yourself a little time to open fire or get into cover or whatever.

But headlights on vehicles are so bad, a Flashlight is going to do.. well.. nothing at all. -- That blinding effect you're talking about, such as used in FEAR. The whole game was built around that device.

Meh, even if it doesn't blind you it can be helpful, no? If they add flashlights I hope you can still add lasersights aswell, though. Either have one on either side, or the flashlight on the side and the laser on top, what ever the player prefers.

Having it underneath, infront of the foregrip would be nice too now that I think about it, although I am aware that not all rails would allow for this.

No, not really because illumination in this game does nothing. Go driving at night without NV, or use the chopper spotties to visually track targets at night. It doesn't light up anything. You get a dim patch of light and that's it.

You reckon it won't even be useful in those smaller buildings you need to clear, those rebel missions? I can't remember the name...

That aside, surely they could make the light brighter?

Lol! But that's my point. It wouldn't do anything. As I said, taking other examples in the game, you wouldn't see any difference.

But anyway. Who am I to get in the way of progress? -- afaiac, even if it's only going to be cosmetic. If someone wants it, and the devs are inclined. Then that's a cool outcome.
