So looking at the Pre-order stuff I saw the normal awful clothing sets, skins and emotes. Plus it looks like 2 exotic (high-end?) weapons (blueprints i guess). They are also adding a stash size bump to the Ultimate edition..... That has me a little worried. I know they are revamping the inventory but if game history tells us anything they will be using that to hide a stealth inventory nerf from what we are having currently. That just feels like some slimy Activision/EA trash. I understand the move to include more visual effects like on skills for profit. If they are giving us 40 inventory slots and each additional 10 costs 10 bucks I will not be happy. That is messing with the game play loop and not cool.
It makes me wonder if they are going to further monetize stash size, and 3-7 days of early content access for everything.... What else are they ready to sell. Will we be seeing Tess Eververse in DC offering XP boosts, in game currancy, exclusive skills or classes, Exotic/Classified blueprints. or even worse PvP consumables and boosts.
I am seeing more and more red flags with this game. Is there any word about this or are they keeping it all hush hush waiting for us to forget?
Prophecy
Stash size will no longer be linked to your backpack, but to your purchasable carry capacity slot.
Ammo capacity will also be a purchasable commodity.
Raid tokens to access the raid can only be gaind from in store transactions.
Raid Loot tokens will also be on sale in the games store. They will be the only way to receive items for completing the raid .
Rogue tokens, that allow you to go rogue.
Farmer tokens that prevent you from losing items in the DZ.
I also just thought about character space, they will give us 2 free but charge for them after that
Nobody is jumping to conclusions but if you read what is stated for each separate release you get the picture. It will be pay to win or at least give you head start if you pay more. Micro transactions are used in almost any other game that is released recently. And if they include stuff in these transactions that nobody wants they won't be selling anything so it will be stuff that people need.Originally Posted by Sw33tChinMu51c Go to original post
Chances are that there will also be virtual currency packs to buy things or even unlock parts of the game which for me is good reason to stay away as well as the pay to win factor. Fortunately there are plenty of other games that don't use any of this crap. This agent will most likely resign from the force and pursue of career elsewhere.
I have seen games that are suppose to be free to play, yet have almost everything you said here. In the end players spend more then they would just by buying Ultimate Bundles just to play the game.Originally Posted by MutantCowboy x Go to original post
To me it isn't about the costs as much as getting my money's worth. I personally buy a game, I want to like it and want to replay it. Meanwhile I know players that buy a game, beat it as fast as they can and take it back so they can try and get 100% of their money back, so they can buy another game to do the same.
I don't want to pay the same money over and over to replay the same game, just with new add-ons though.
On one hand.....
It could just be that they will give "extra" slots for things on a paid basis. As many ppl on these forums have said they would pay for such stuff. IIRC.
So its likely well get an equivalent setup as we have now but for those that want to pay for more slots, they can do so. Dont necessarily see a problem here. Either get more disciplined with how you use loadouts and inventory..... (I always have too few loadout slots and full stash) or pay for some more. Nothing has changed (probably) except those who want more of these things can do so. Are ppl expecting them to gift stuff like this and not pay for season pass?
On the other....
The game does seem to be moving towards a pay for extras model. Seeing as we have yearly passes now for stuff we dont know about..... so I am wary as everyone else. If its extras thats fine. If its stuff I need to compete then no. Ill pass.
I'm not worried. They're not stupid. I read how Konami tried this crap with Metal Gear Survive and it bombed. It bombed big, like sales were 5% of Phantom Pain. Do i expect them to let you buy additional slots or cosmetics? I hope not, but I will accept considering we're getting Year 1 free. But not if it cripples my game. If they give 6 loadout slots like before, and let you buy 6 more for cash, I won't be happy but I won't not buy the game. But that's probably about the most I'll let them get away with.
I guess this is depending on one's certain point of view. You see Year 1 for free.Originally Posted by jonsarik73 Go to original post
I feel that it is part of the game you paid for and they are removing it from the original and spoon feeding it to you over a year's time. So that you don't burnout on the game in 7 days.
