RED= Hero retired and waiting for update/never gonna bother
Green= Hero still playable
Warden: I started with him back on release, but after a while he got boring because he's a one trick pony so I left and waited for the rework. Now he's even more reliant on SB and honestly I feel like a cheap sob when using it, so I'm retiring him. If they ever tweak him a bit, maybe. Mege did made a very good point about Warden, that for a guy who is "master of the longsword", he uses it as basic as it gets, instead of doing swordplay, he does shoulderplay.
Conq:I also started with him at release, he was a way to practice parries since he's safe on those if you held the attack button, if you miss the parry he would just go into the charge which still lets you block and you can just cancel. But he started to become very boring too, with his "death by a 1000 wet noodles"; and after the rework that didn't change, so I retired him. I just play him now whenever the stupid strong slayer contract comes up.
PK_ I ever only played her in the story mode, and with just that little time, I could tell she was boring AF and haven't touched her since.
Cent: Just bought him a couple weeks ago, and saw how trash he is, just a noob stomper, nothing more. Didn't even got to rep 1
Glad: Too boring for the crutch of a zone he has. Also reflex guard is stupid.
Raider/Warlord/Shugoki: I dislike the all strength no brains/speed character arquetype, so no in a million years.
Valk: Used to use her, retired her to wait for rework. Now she's just a spammy biach, so no thanks.
Orochi: Still needs a rework. If that ever comes and he stops being just another light spammer, I'll give him another try.
Shinobi: Literally has nothing but light spam, no fun to play. Waiting for rework.
Aramusha: Just right out the box he needed a rework already, 'nuff said.
Kensei, Zerker, Noboobshi, Shaman
Currently trying thighlander, but he's quite a technical char so still getting used to him.
Might try in the future just out of desperation: Lawbringer.
im waiting for Lawbringer rework, it's long overdue imo. but yeah Highlander is pretty fun but you Really need to get used to the off.stance without a block or GB, can be difficult.
i wouldn't say Raider or Warlord is judged correctly by you, they're pretty nimble. i do think Warlord is boring to play though, but Raider is fun with his fast dodges and softfeints until you reach higher up and realise how horrible it is not to have a good poke or uninterruptible.
Cent's alright once you realise just how useful those fast heavies are. i would like to see a tighter mixup with his forward dash (forward kick / armored jumpatk. / dash+grab). it's too telegraphed atm so it's not scary at all.
i refuse to touch Zerker or Shaman so i can't really say, Nobushi seems too methodical to be any fun. Kensei though might be enjoyable.
otherwise you just have to wait til the new faction comes out with it's respective characters.
