It's also my understanding from other posts that these prestige credits are tied to your account, not to a character - not that I plan on doing any grinding whatsoever in Tier once I'm done with the campaign.

I didn't bother checking out what I was refunded but I guess it's really only 10 each for dup refunds? Seems really cheap to do that to folks but then again, I didn't do much to earn these so I'm (personally) not too bothered by it. I did notice that I got a lot of duplicates though.

Yes. Prestige Crate contains one item each. One dupe item = 10 GRCredits trade-in.

Opening 20 Prestige Crates, get to choose 1 Battle Crate or Ghost War Crate for free.

Battle Crate and Ghost War Crate will never give dupe.

Prestige Crate contains pool of items that was enlisted before the latest update.

Battle Crate and Ghost War Crate have updated item pool, including the M16 from Predator Pack - except the latest Rainbow 6 Pack.

The whole Predator pack is in battle crates now. M16 in Spec Ops, R93 in Ghost War (for some reason), clothing items attainable from both.

Also, NB, the pool for prestige crates is a bit larger now than just pre "SO2" crate items. The Animal Patches pack for instance and some weapon paints that were not attainable in crates pre "SO2".

So if you had all battle crate stuff before "SO2" you might still get something new now and then from prestige crates.

Are you 100% sure about this?

100%? Nope. Considering the fact that Prestige point allocation is messed up, it's hard to be 100% sure about anything in this game... For example, in order to get my prestige points, I have to restart the game, otherwise they just don't show up. Tried this several times, actually freaked out a bit the first time my GM character reached lvl 30 and was supposed to get 3000 Prestige but didn't. Now I'm used to it and it doesn't bother me. Although I'm still not sure I'm getting all the Prestige points I should be getting, because I don't bother relogging every time I should get them.

I'll get another Ghost to Tier One in GM in the coming days, so I'll let you know
