It was there for all to see if they used their eyes and really looked at things.
Seems like most simply couldn't be bothered and so gave up, but not before giving it the thumbs down. Fair enough, no one is obliged to like something, and we're all free to dislike anything we want without having to justify it to anyone.
But it also seems a few must have complained to Ubisoft that it's not possible to finish, or some such. So - and here's the point of all this - what does Ubisoft do? Well obviously they contact me, the map designer for an explanation - or so you'd hope. Nope, with no contact whatsoever they simply deleted the map as if it never was. No contact with me to say they were doing it, nor why. Just quietly took it out and shot it.
So now I've re-published it with some minor modifications. Let's just say no one is now going to miss the hidden entrance now, nor the hidden flamethrower I also put in there.
I just wish there was some sort of dialogue over such things between the author, Ubisoft and the folks who couldn't find their way, before arbitrarily doing away with maps.
