Let me join: In my complete 100% PERSONAL Opinion : The AK is crappy, bulky and plain ugly. Looks like a drunk Russian build it together from Scrap Metal back in the 1800s.

AKs aren't as durable or reliable as some make them out to be. They aren't unreliable by any stretch, but the legend is a bit of an exaggeration.

In-game I stick the M4/P416....and the AK-47 for general purpose - I like my Ghost to blend in.

Dunno, POF seem like an extremely niche American weapons manufacturer, would be unusual for someone not American to have a P416.

Hell, it's already unusual for someone who is an American to have one, much less anyone else!

Future Soldier made a distinction between PDRs and SMGs. In fact, Future Soldier thrashes Wildlands when it comes to Gunsmith. From Gas system to triggers, you had way more options and control.

I have over 300 hours in GRW. I've personally HALO'd in on UNIDAD MOBs and stolen over 40 APCs. I once shot a heli out of the sky with my 40 mike mike. I know what I'm talking about. Also, Ubi-Insulin is taking down all of you AK-47 haters. Ubi's already deployed a Blackhawk for Jens's disgusting AR-15 loving butt and I'll ensure they pick you up on the way home. Prepare for reconditioning, Comrade.

Hey man..It's been well documented that AK-47s have survived everything - from volcanic explosions to extra-terrestrial warfare. Until recently, a 47 was unearthed in Mongolia....dated 350 BC. The magazine was busted but it could easily fire modern ammunition and was scoring 2 inch groupings at 300 meters. The AKs from that era were notorious for mag issues, but the Romans managed to fix that issue as well.

BLASPHEMY! You'd burn in hell for all eternity, but, luckily for you, religion is the opium of the people and no such thing as hell exists. But if it did, you can be sure that the guards there would be armed with AKs.

As for their durability, I once dropped my AKMS... You can see the result in ***ushima. Can you say the same thing about your puny Western plastic toys?

You do have a point there.

Serial number and tags filed down and it's another AR-15 variant in a country filled with ARs right? In head-canon the POF is the HK-416 - both are piston ARs right?. I always figured that Nomad - with his Delta Force background - would be most adept with the 416 platform. I plan to use it for very special missions and night raids.

I guess the Remington R5 or the M4 would be better options. However in this playthrough, I don't want to go weapon hunting and "discover" the rest of the map...I want it to be as if the team is exploring it for the first time.
Furthermore, I feel that a Piston AR would be best for the Ghost team's purposes....so that eliminates the M4A1.

Oh...and the R5 RGP is full auto only. Why, Ubi...why?

Nah...I stick with the 47 and not the 12 for 2 reasons

1. 47 has a short barrel, 12 don't (Yet)
2. The 12 - like you've stated - has an incorrect caliber in-game and that's just messing with my OCD

Plus, the side-folding wire stock on the 47 is so damn sexy. I just wish we could mount foregrips on the 47.

If it's guns you want...Future Soldier has it in spades.

Undergass or overgass your rifle to customize ROF. Scopes for ALL, Ammunition types (Raufoss, AP, ball, Exacto etc.), BIPODS!!, UBGLs, grips, muzzles....and most weapons were way more customizable than Wildland's selection.

I fondly remember my overgassed Mk.48 with a short barrel. No arbitrary customization restrictions - only ones that made sense (like the PP-19 couldn't have it's mag size upped)

Oh IIRC they had a functional gripod. A grip that could be deployed as a bipod
