So, playing legendary missions,
NPC rushes.
He was near me.
I run.
He make that melee animation and i got downed.
Now the main problem is that i am almost having the distance of nearly 10m but still got into that melee attack. (yes nearly 10m)
Don't who made this stupid mechanic and its effect 360 degree with a large area.
Even if you behind npc and he melee one of your teammate,you will also get affected (because of 360 degree stupid mechanic) .
Looks like if they made their melee animation, you are down, no matter how much distance you have.
Even a d3 built dont have this range, d3 also need to touch the enemy to make his melee attack damage him.
Can we have a fix for this or it is going to be in game till its dead.... ?
Also want to talk about grenade stagger but we all know it will never gonna fix........
It is a bit annoying getting one hit melee'd when there is something blocking them doing that hah - most of the distance issues are due to the network architecture used and not easily remedied because the server doesn't have accurate enough information in the first place.
It would be nice if they changed it so that it only applied to the NPC's immediate target though as I've seen a few instance where its been a little big laggy but nothing too bad but an NPC is able to take out 2-4 people with one swing from right across the room - 20m or more sometimes.
I truly hope they bring back this “feature”. I am not ordering the game unless they confirm this. Nothing like surviving after getting hit by 3000 bullets, nades, turrets, only to go down from an elbow. How awesome is that?Originally Posted by Merphee Go to original post

JUST now just another perfect example. A cleaner shoots me up my ***, I run away and double tap Q to pop my heal.....it doesnt go off, dead......
This game and Division 2, both have the exact same issue of controls NOT working when you need them to.
You know, you are just running around the map with nothing going on anywhere, and you QQ, your heal will immediately pop with no delay. But you get in afight? You need the heal now? oooooh, boy, its QQ.......nothing, QQ....short delay, then it goes off, or you get downed.
Same with movement and cover, same ****. Over 1700 hours of this game and its the same garbage every time. Every single ******* time I get downed or die its soley on the shoulders of this game's ********, buggy *** control scheme. I can see a situation turning to **** in a hurry, ill make the right moves, pop a med kit, pop my heal, try to roll away, try to reposition, but sure as ****, the game will keep me glued to cover, or not pop my heal, or not lay my box down, or ill go to reload, wait for the reload, pop up to fire and im not reloaded, like WTF!? You watch my youtube recordings of me in the Underground, you will notice moments when it looks like im having a stroke or something.....and nope, I assure you, it was the game doing its own fkin thing.
You can just throw enemy Melee range on the list of horse **** in this game. I do love it when your wwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllll llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the hell out of melee range and you get hit. The game seems to snap shot your position the moment the guy swings and it doesnt matter WHAt you do, you get hit.
