You know how to zoom in, you hold the same button that shoots? And if an enemy starts to spot you while you’re using the Binos or Drone, it cancels out? Well if you’re zooming in at the time, the Binos cancel out while you’re holding the shoot button, which makes you fire at whatever you were looking at, generally causing a Direct Threat alert and putting you into a Hunted - if not Engaged - state.
Am I really the only with this issue?
Oh ok right, yes I am with you now 😊.. I personally don’t have that problem but that’s mainly because I am usually pretty far away and prone when using the bino’s but I can definitely see what you’re saying here.Originally Posted by RedCeII Go to original post
Maybe it would be better if the D-pad was used to toggle the various zoom levels instead? As I said I have never ran into this problem myself but if it is effect you I’m assume it problem effects and frustrates other player out there also.
Guess I never really ran into that issue myself but then again, maybe I did and forgot about it. ....but like X_Fro, I also find myself using binos from a safe distance in most cases. I'm curious to try it now that you mention it though. ......obviously not in Ghost Mode.Originally Posted by RedCeII Go to original post![]()
Rare accident for me, especially after telling myself to scout from far away be it using Binos or Drone so no accidental detection when I'm zooming in.
But if I could make them change it, I would want them to stop pulling me out of the Bino/Drone view when suspected and instead just go on with audio and status.
Well, you can't do both. When you have the binos activated, the ADS and trigger control work the zoom in and out. You can't fire your weapon.Originally Posted by GiveMeTactical Go to original post
It doesn't. It's more the case that Redcell holds onto the triggers when he doesn't need to. When using zoom functions Redcell, you don't need to hold onto buttons just zoom to the desired magnification and let go.Originally Posted by GiveMeTactical Go to original post
I mean, if you're zooming and getting dropped out of zoom immediately, by being engaged/spotted. Then you probably were too close to use the binocs anyway, mate.
