Just lost two Provinces worth of progress because an enemy that wasn’t visible or markable downed me, and then my revive counter expired while my ****-for-brains team mate ran back & forth over my body.

The more I play Ghost Mode, the more I think Ubi intentionally nerfed the AI to cause more deaths than usual and encourage players to buy their garbage Skill Points & Resources Packs.

Primal for me was a nice break from normal FC game play - I'm a big bow fan for stealth if available. And to be up front, I acquired the game w/o any cost, otherwise I also would have skipped it.

The survivor mode was a nice challenge, and it included permadeath - but that was - drum roll please - simply an option and could be played on any difficulty setting.
The Bow & Arrow in FC was missing something for me and I could never get along with it... either that or I truly suck big ones at it. I tried using it, I really did, more so for the initial grinding to level up your loot sac, etc, etc. but it was so under-powered that I wanted to use it on the devs to show them how under-powered it was. I am sure that 1 hit on the wildlife would at least wound or make an animal limp, even a bear, let alone a dog.

You say it like if it wasn't true...

Well, I see my theory is growing more and more

The short version is that I learned using a bow was not only a one-shot kill on an un-armored NPC, it also did not mark your location, as would happen if you pulled a weapon's trigger in the game. After FC3 Ubisoft started modifying those parameters, but for 3, the bow was ideal for silent stealth play.

As for the animals, yes that's a whole other story - w/ FC4 being the worse of the series. That's vanilla, some mods helped however.
