Okay...need a training assist from the experts at TRAPAC. What does TMO get me? What is RSDC? Where can I go to find out? Just want to get up to speed on these mods so I can make an informed decision about mods to SH-4.

Well, I'm certainly no expert and/but I'm quite surprised that you haven't heard more about TMO or RSRDC right here in this forum. Just type either into the search ("Find") tab above and you're likely to find mountains of information about them both.
They both make too many changes to adaquately describe in detail so, in a nutshell:
TMO increases the difficulty (crew ratings of the enemy, more deadly vessels to contend with, harder to shoot down planes, etc., etc.) and has the best (IMHO) graphics package (interior & exterior), environment, etc. RSRDC adds more realistic/historic convoy routes and naval battles respectively. Pretty darn accurate if you ask me. Anyway, there are threads for both mods over at subsim.

Well, I got TMO 2.0 successfully loaded and running. Will start an American Pacific career. Sure do like the plot on the attack map. Had to unlearn the SH-4 F-keys, but that only took a minute. Now, where to find Japanese shipping early in the war.

I am using 1.5 with the following mods currently installed :

TMOwTw_170_Final
RSRDC_TMO_V502
RSRDC_V5xx_Patch1

My question is twofold...
1) are these the latest and greatest version(s), or do i need newer versions or patches ?

2) I will be installing additionally

MaxOpticsIV for TMO_2
TMO_Visuals for RSRDC
IJN Radar Fix for TMO2_v1
Fixed_CD_sonar_RSRDC

It would appear that these might not be compatible with TMOwTW1.7 and would indeed require TMOv2. Is that correct? What order should these be loaded in?

I wouldn't install the last four, those are for TMO 2 with RSRD, not training wheels.

Can't answer how RSRD 502 will work with TMO 1.7TW, version is for TMO 2. Both the makers of RSRD and TMO updated and tweaked the mods, everytime TMO updated, RSRD would soon be updated behind it, so best to run the versions that agree with each other. It may work fine until you run into an added ship that TMO has no info on, ect...but you can try.
