    Ghost Mode with Mk14

So after a couple of runs in Ghost Mode using various weapons (first the M4, then an AK47, with other meaningless one-night stands with other weapons along the way) I started a new character and decided to go a slightly different route than ever before (even in campaign). I went straight for the Mk14, outfitted it with a 20 round clip, V4 foregrip (for just slightly increased mobility) and the T5Xi scope. Loving every minute of it so far. Feels so different from the ARs I usually use and yet somehow strangely familiar. Just for kicks I tried using the SR25 and the MSR (I have the Eagleshot version from prestige crates) but they just didn't seem to have the fun factor of the Mk14. Can't really explain it, but I haven't had this much fun with Wildlands in a loooooong time.

I wonder how many other fun to use weapons I have completely skipped over, focusing on the "holy trinity" of M4A1, HTI and Mk17...

This seems like a really fun way to get something different from every Ghost Mode run. Not a bad idea, Ringwraith.

Good selection, I choose the MK14 as well
The reason I choose the MK14 was so I’d have the ability to snipe in ghost mode but also, go full auto in the event $hit hits the fan for close engagement, as such I use the G28 scope.
Sure your ammo capacity is somewhat restricted being only 68rds max & a twenty round mag on top of that but I find it’s not to much of a problem.
I use the “shift shirt angled grip” to increase my accuracy, range finder to increase the range & long barrel for that extra damage. Not overly fussed about the handling after all, it is primarily a sniper rifle. Ive not maxed “time to aim” from the skill tree but no doubt it will help. I’ve the ”ADV suppressor” from the skill tree ref the suppressor & damage.
Overall I think it’s a solid choice for ghost mode, luck in those wildlands.

The good old Mk14 is completely underrated by most Players.

The M1A is one of my favorite rifles so when it comes to games, I tend to gravitate to it regardless of stats (same with the 1911). .....but in this game, the MK14 ends up being a nice choice. Again, pros and cons to each but it does a good job as an all around solution.

I usually choose it when playing solo in GM and sometimes when playing coop. For coop it really depends on what my friend(s) choose as I might go with an assault rifle, LMG or specialized sniper. ....we select the role we want to be responsible for to compliment each other.

I’m planning on running a no-AI, Shotgun & Pistol only run once I’m finished the current grind to Tier 1.

I rarely used MK14, but I used it in GM too. I also like the sound it makes.

Try uncool SMG for sniping like PSG or VSN.

Tier One is a completely different animal as it changes the way the weapons perform and totally screws with the balance found in the main game. ....most are severely lacking in T1 IMO.

Kek, here I was asking myself why anyone would put the M4 in a top three weapon list when there's the ACR and other 5.56 weapons that perform nearly as well as the ACR like the CZ805 and HK416 and MDR.

I know people like the M4 for its classic old school look and such, but that doesn't seem a good enough reason to elevate it above the high performance modern assault rifles in the game.

I get that some people don't like the modern look of weapons like SCAR/ACR/CZ805, and I know some people dislike bullpups like the MDR, but if you really like the look of an AR style platform I'd go with the HK416.

Also it's time we, as a firearms bearing species, rise up and say no to direct gas impingement. XD

M4 is just sittin’ right outside the Armadillo Hunting Lodge though; 416 costs $25!

Personally, I’d take an M16A4, or better yet, a C7A2, over either if I had the choice.

Also a shame that the G36C always hogs up the glory and we rarely see G36Ks or full-size G36 rifles.

Be cool if choosing a longer or shorter barrel in the game also altered the handguard length, essentially turning, say, the M4 into an M16, or the G36C into a G36 or a G36K.
