Image freezes, audio continues then the game crashes | Forums

My game is running smoothly over 60fps, when suddenly without any warning reason, the image will just freeze while audio continues to work normally for a few seconds, after that the game will close and I'll get an option to send a crash report to ubi. I have absolutely no idea what could be causing this.

Audio continuing on for a few seconds during a crash is not abnormal. Are the crashes consistent in any way? Do they happen when in menus or in a specific map? I recommend disabling background programs and then verifying your game files in Steam or Uplay. Play the game, and see if the crashes happen. If not, there may have been conflicting programs. If the crashes continue, please perform the remaining steps in our PC crashing FAQ while keeping those programs disabled.

I tried disabling background programs, verifying my files and the other stuff and it didn't work, but reverting to an older update of my graphics drivers seemed to help, since now I rarely crash anymore.

I have exactly the same problem, since few days crashes every 2nd to 3rd dominion round.
