Survival was down yesterday and I admit I was disappointed, but I played other things. Joined a group in resistance, the other 3 was ranting about Survival not working and all they did was dis on Ubisoft for dropping the ball, yet again. The conversation got interesting when 2 out of the 3, stated they this was why they would never buy the DLCs for TD and in their opinion Ubisoft should owe them some form of compensation for their loss. The other asked for what loss. They never owned the DLC and was getting it free, while others paid for it and actually lost the ability to play it, while being fixed for those who refused to buy it. At this point, the debate got heated, words were said and not nice words by the way.
Then I get on the forums this morning and see players feeling that Ubi/Massive should compensate them for their loss. Now I admit I am triggered by the fact that part of the game I paid for, well I can't play because Ubisoft made choices that made it not work as intended. Yet Ubisoft has never rewarded me for their mistakes, so I don't expect compensation now.
So why do players feel Ubi owes them anything for this debacle, especially seeing how many are getting it for free? They have lost nothing. I do understand a player who has paid for it might be angered, but once again Ubi hasn't made it a habit of paying for their mistakes.
We live in a litigious world with many snowflakes who seek safe spaces. The fact is Do-Do happens and people can miss how fortunate we are. There is no such thing as perfection in this world. At least for me, this game has delivered much more enjoyment than frustration. Issues like this will always happen and shouldn't be a surprise.
Let me think why I should be compensated:
- I am playing Survival in a group and got booted off with bloody Delta errors (for a DLC I bought the season pass - thats bitter than a slap on my face)
- I am trying to complete a legendary mission, playing a healer while I am trying to deploy a skill my character is stuck on the throwing animation but dont deploy the bloody skill and I end up getting melted by NPC
- I am waiting for nearly 15 min to get a queue in Survival (Season pass owner)
- I am queued on a last stand session full of cronus max users because I decided not to go low to a level to have one for myself, I end up getting farmed by those players.
Quoting some idiot youtuber, The Division did not just work, it actually works.
This game has been BETA and a testing ground since release, the poor DLCs associated with it were just rushed with no deeper thought.
And now they want to convince us that TD2 is better.
Personally? I would wait until it’s locked after this week then do the shield. What I’m gonna do so I won’t have to deal with any of the problems.Originally Posted by OeilBlanc86 Go to original post

In my opinion, it was annoying yesterday. The long waiting in the Survival queue, the Delta and Uniform errors which kicked me out twice when I was already in DZ and, at last, the offline status. I was annoyed, because of the inadequate preparation and the fact that the devs decided to give a week for free exactly at the same day the Shield became active. However, today it finally works as intended and that is ok for me. They fixed it and I do not expect any form of compensation, although I bought the DLC. As said before, nobody is perfect.
Have fun in Survival, guys.
