[QUESTION] Did the "SO2 hotfix" actually create more problems than SO2 update?

.. and does anyone know if/when there will be another update before the Sept. Update?

I'm only asking because I need to make a choice and I'd like some help. As it stands, my current version is the SO2 update. It's not patched with the Hotfix that came out shortly afterwards and I have no problems with my current version. No missing items, no attachments not working, no save game problems and I care, not one bit about the 416 or 50% xtra resources (at this point).

So if I'm only going to create problems by applying the Hotfix, I'd rather wait.

    TIA, for all responses!

The only issues I'm having are my teammates getting stuck behind objects on occasion. No missing items (that I know of), no locked attachments (maybe because I bought all the unlock packs from the store? IDK), no save game issues (then again, I haven't touched Ghost Mode for that reason exactly). Lasers stop working occasionally, but that's been happening since before SO2 and all I have to do to fix them is unequip and reequip them.

    But that's just my experience.

No idea if it’s even related or not, but I didn’t crash once since the SO2 update, but over the last few days, I’ve been crashing very frequently.

That said, the hotfix was released several days before this issue started, so it could be a coincidence. I asked a buddy of mine, and he isn’t having this issue, bit even after rebuilding my PS4 database, the problem persists, and it’s only Wildlands that seems to crash.

Take this for what little it’s worth.

You should be good Paladinrja, the game is still just as broke as before the so called “hotfix” so don’t sweat it just download it and I’m sure you’ll notice no actually difference at all.

Hopefully Septembers update will actually have a noticeable effect on the game and a lot of the anoying bugs will be squashed.

Ok, thanks guys. I'm actually wondering if I'll bother 15GB updating GRW, or take a break and spend 17GB on Blacklist. I can't do both with my data cap. May just get Blacklist and update next month or when the Sept. update drops. Cheers! And thankyou.

I already have Blacklist on Wii U. Hopefully I won't have to buy it again and can just DL it on XBOX.

Well. I updated and in the process lost:
    • Echelon Gloves
    • Spy, Echelon & Blacklist Paint Presets
    • Lvl30 Five Seven Blacklist pistol
    • Lvl30 SC4000
From all modes.. all now locked! How do I get them back!?

It tells me to go to the store, but there is no pack for these things. I Have the Splinter Cell pack (which only has the Costume). -- Op: Matchwood still completed (white), as I've done it countless times.

The Funny thing is. I also just bought SC:Blacklist as well. -- Still have the Sonar Goggles and Echelon Goggles though.

In my DLC list, still have the Y2 Season pass (10MB). But in the store it's asking me to buy it again?!? It doesn't say "owned". -- If I try to repurchase, it tells me "Looks like you already own this item" then goes back to the GRW Store and says my "unlock could not be completed".

UPDATE: Completely shut down the XBOX and restarted. Upon boot up of the game 18 Unlocks suddenly happened. Problem solved, can't stress the relief (phew).

In future will cold boot after every update.

Happy to hear that a restart resolved this for you! The locked attachments issue is still being worked on by the dev team.

Thanks mate. Can't stress enough that, the second anyone notices something is wrong, it's the first thing they should do. In fact, I recommend a cold (hard) boot after any update. On PC I'd recommend logging out, shutdown, cold boot; then restart with a full restart and login (Steam). Sit at the splash menu for a couple of minutes and it should resolve itself through the cloud.
