While playing ghost mode I think there are a few things that could make it even more of a intense experience, mainly regarding how many marks you can give as well as duration. I think this mechanic could work with tier mode as well. Instead of being able to just fly your drone over/binocular a base and always know the location of every npc for the entire time-which I think is a little bit of a cheese- I would like the option to make a limit to the amount of marks I can give as well as have a timer on marks, maybe 30-45 seconds.
Benefits: Encourages a more active play style, increases the intensity of play, decreases messy hud.
Specific Changes:
-Allow players to change mark settings in game.
-Marks go away after either A) the NPC moves greater than 25 meters from original mark location B) after 45 seconds has elapsed or C) player loses line of sight on target
-players limited to 6-10 marks, this number can be tweaked
I agree.
On previous GR games it was just like that.
If you lost line of sight the "tags" disappeared after a period of time
Unless GRAW/GRAW2 you had your drone on detect mode or GRFS you deployed the drone and then exit the view or throw a sensor.
Wildlands however doesn't have any classic tag system, it has the FarCry tags and you can't exit the view of the drone while still leaving it deployed.
A time limit is needed when you lose LoS
completely agree with the line of sight thing, I just updated my original post to include it. Thanks!Originally Posted by LoneSpymaster Go to original post
Could you expand I'm not sure what your getting at here. If I am understanding your post correctly, this would be a change to the the fundamental game settings, and it could be opted out for in a similar fashion to any of the other hud customization options. If someone is playing no hud and markers it doesn't effect the hud settings of other players.Originally Posted by Paladinrja Go to original post
If different players, in the same co-op game, can have different settings, then there's no problem.Originally Posted by crowlecj Go to original post
I've wanted this for a long time. I wish that detection clouds were a part of it, too -- when you lose a mark because it disappears like this, that would be when detection clouds would show up, and those too would fade over time.
Rebel spotting could also, as an option, give detection clouds instead of just marking targets.
(Also, port in suppression and no health regen from Ghost War; these would all make the game *actually* more difficult rather than *arbitrarily* more difficult)
Yep, in my experience hud settings are personal to each character, including in co-opOriginally Posted by Paladinrja Go to original post
Lol! That's actually kinda praise worthy, being a bit of a first. Only other game that let's you do that and has all the similarities with GRW is H5: Guardians.Originally Posted by crowlecj Go to original post
