Let's start positive first. I like the fact that epics and legendaries are getting a buff because many of them where outshined by rares and commons. In some ways the stats we are going to get now is how they should have been from the start.
And now the negative.
You just picked percentage boosts and rolled them out onto all the cards, even the legenderies/epics that were already good or OP (Mecha Timmy, SoMM, Rogue Token, ...) and commons that needed a buff (anybody see a Le Bard Jimmy lately?).
But the thing that makes me angry the most is that this balance change is like a complete reset of the game in terms of which cards are good or bad,but I don't have the mats and coins to do something about it. I have invested all my coins and mats in commons. Plus all the requests of common cards I've been making seem all so futile now. I have been requesting this feature from the start, but with this total reset of the game it becomes more of a must than ever, allow us to downgrade our cards and recuperate the invested coins and mats. That way we can use them to upgrade the now seriously buffed epics and legendaries.
You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to stop requesting common characters and am going to switch to requesting spells because for the next couple of months I'm going to need my mats to get my epics to max lvl4.And I'll probably won't be the only one so that's going to be fun in our clan when we all start requesting the same cards.
Can't wait to see how the youtubers react to this. At least I'll get some fun out of that.
Oh and another thing. You realy think it's decent of you guys to post the details of this massive balance change 1 day before it goes live? Not everybody reads the forum. A lot of people are going to wake up on Thursday and discover they are playing a totally different game and not know what happened. At least give us a few weeks time to prepare and anounce it in the app itself that there is something this big comming.
My biggest concern is that Redlynx stated they would not make balance changes except between seasons.
Why backtrack and release such a massive change mid-season? Why make these changes live so quickly?
Is Redlynx at all concerned with how their rollouts appear to the public and their customers? Seems poorly implemented this time around, unfortunately.
Firstly, thanks for listening to the SPPD community in making these balance changes. Obviously there will be some balance changes needed after rolling this out that I'm sure you guys will get to and it is definitely no easy task. Rarer cards got the much needed buffs they deserve.
However as someone pointed out earlier, if you are going to make such massive game changing balance changes, then there needs to be a de-buff system. People are going to need to change there decks big time after this. And we (people who aren't pay-to-win anyway), don't have the gold and materials to level new cards effectively. We need a system that will level back down the cards we wish not to use and refund the mats and gold used to level them. People spend so much time on acquiring these and to see all that time wasted is heart breaking and I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of people rage quitting. My clan are talking about it. And it is felt every time a balance change is made.

Dogpoo, iffy on this, his hp was fine just needed a slight bump but that became unnecessary with the nerfs to common HPs.
HHC, really? Does he need to be able to OHKO any non-tank? SoMM getting buffed again wasn't enough? Compare to DKC, his ability does 50% more damage and keeps him out of harms way.
Hercules Cylde: this card is just now terrible and still outclassed by alien clyde.
Fireball: Fairly convinced this card is one of the root causes of all this, but let's buff if it anyway moreso than the average buffs of all other cards.
Sheriff: his atk didn't need to be buffed to where it is.
LB: Another why? still would OHKO anything non-tank it was the only thing that was left out of this patch.
Nathan: In fairness who wants AoE 2-Shots?
Angel Wendy: This card was already experiencing a difficult life level six was where it actually had a meaningful existence
As for the rest of the commons, all I am going to say is that anything that cost 2 energy to play got nerfed rightly so. No card regardless of rarity should be able to outright destroy other cards costing more than 2 per card played.
Adventure deck going forward.
Fantasy is more or less well-settled.
Scifi besides the Mecha nerf revert, received more impactful nerfs than buff so verdict is out.
Mystic more or less is trash.
This changes everything, in my opinion you can't afford to make such huge changes to the game because the flaws will become more prominent. I already thought epics of high level can give you an advantage the way things are. You guys don't even have epic requests and you pretend to throw your free to play users off with this, p2w users will surely dominate with these changes more than ever.
Edit: You are also destroying the work of months of people trying to stay competitive by grinding their commons, the only way out vs p2w users, now you are just lengthening the gap even more.
ROFL, lvl3 Six Element Randy spawns the worst unit every charge in compare to lvl4 epic Randy cards, helloWith all these and previous changes you should change this card to Rare from Legendary, maybe at lvl6 players would finally start using it. Just give to his charged units proper attack or deathrattle: 'shed poison to nearby enemies' or 'explode and deals significant dmg to nearby enemies', like give him legendary ability at least for once!
Manbearpig is still worthless though (just spawn any lvl6 fighter + lvl6 T&P instead and get 1600hp/350att worth in stats from common cards); give to his attacks aoe effect OR instant kill random nearby enemie charge abillity (which will fit to the art) and it will shine as new
Im kinda love the update already, its fresh and im excited about it, but I have one question: what deck could possibly outplay the mystic one? You dont even need to roll out update to see that ladder will be based on mystic theme in a month or so.
