Turning these features into options is what most here have been asking for. .....features that are not necessarily what some of us expected (e.g. I find they should have been expanded on for reasons discussed several times in this forum) but in my case, I'm trying to make the best of what has been provided until we have an idea what changes they will make (if any).Originally Posted by Posmertnyy Go to original post
Personally, I think it's obvious PD is a mode that should be played with friends. .....same with a mechanic like FF. Both leave you vulnerable when matchmaking with randoms as they can kill you with or without FF activated (just not as easily without) but griefers will always find ways. Before GM, players were at least not losing all of their progress and had the option to boot offenders from their session (or leave) with little to no consequence.
I agree that these features should all be options which is what most of us had asked for ever since we started recommending they be implemented in the game many months ago. As far as how they could redesign GM while keeping the PD element and still make it appealing to most, I really don't know. Personally, I'm disappointed they made a mode with PD as it's backbone but since they were going to do it anyway, I just wish they would have asked the community (and groups like yourself given your interest) about that before proceeding.
I do know that if they are going to keep GM the way it is then they will definitely need to address how glitches and design quirks affect the gameplay experience. I also agree that they need to address griefers in public matchmaking as the kick option is useless in Ghost Mode given that the result is the permanent death of the victim.
As for me, I'm just hoping they copy over these components to the main game so players can be free to choose which of these options (if any) they want to enable. I don't necessarily think they are all exactly what we had asked for but it's at least a step in the right direction for those who wanted them. All we can do is provide feedback and hope for more improvements, options, etc.

- Nope, I'll pass.
- Ok, how many weapons?
- Just my sidearm, thank you.
- Would you like realistic reloading with that?
- Absolutely.
- How about a holosight for that sidearm?
- For the love of all that is holy, YES! And a flashlight! And a Glock!
Exactly..... I would also love to be able to have a "none" option as others have mentioned rather than a "one primary" component. ...or how about a more realistic reload mechanic in a feature that is named "realistic reload". I mentioned it before but the reloading in Insurgency: Sandstorm is one example of the general direction I would have liked Ubi to go. Even without partial mag retention, simply getting rid of the auto-pickup of ammo from dead enemies would make a big difference IMO.Originally Posted by Ringwraith5 Go to original post
....and of course, these would all be options so folks can pick and choose what they prefer. More options means more ways folks can tailor their own gameplay experience.

No ****, "SFO" doesn't fly by the seat of their pants.
"The Activity" however (Or the INTELLIGENCE Support Activity - Intelligence being key here) are for battlefield prep and intelligence gathering. They are not the planning or support mechanism.
They are Spooks.
As per the marketing spiel and the game's own premise...the Ghosts are largely an autonomous entity. Karen is the CO, but the Ghosts dictate tactics. This isn't our "fantasy"....it certainly isn't mine. I had a largely different experience or fantasy in mind, but lets not get into that.
Furthermore, they are a COVERT ops unit (Backed by game canon). Their supply lines aren't exactly 'solid'. Your specific statement about dual primaries is what I was contesting. And it ultimately ties into who the Ghosts are and what they are doing in Bolivia.
Believe me, I'm not entirely happy with how Ubisoft has translated this fantasy into a game....but it is the game that has established the above. I'm simply stating that it breaks the game's logic to have the Ghosts run around with 2 primary weapons with no believable penalty.
Since the original posting of this thread I’ve been watching for any update information specifically for Xbox users.
I can confirm the work around for the Xbox does indeed work as I’ve been using it since it’s initial discovery, playing offline but hadn’t needed to apply the final delete & re-sync steps until last night.
Thanks once again to Posmertnyy also Keen_1 & Paladinrja for providing the guides.

I just provided a link to the instructions found on the Playstation website but yeah, no problem. Thanks for helping confirm things on the XB1 side.Originally Posted by DrUNkenj4Gs Go to original post
Backups of save files works well
lucky for me, once in a week i take a copy of all my game saves.
in the first try, i have died becouse i run straight in a car without looking at the street -.-*. all my save games are gone, so i was forced to copy my older save games.
at koani, i have give up after 6 times whit this plane quest. i tried a last time and died as aspected. well, now its over, thought so. the games startet new on there own and ... well ... the same issue. copy old save games ... but now, i have to try it again (and again, and again) becouse i cant just delete a ghost of mine O.o ... after many other try's i have had solve this damn quest. and i even manged to kill el sueno. so i finished the GM (whitout tier one by now)
but somehow, it's feels like cheating ... while doing this, solving the Ghost Mode is not feeling that great anymore. but after all it works fine. well ... it's just a game anyway. have fun^^
