Isn't this just Ghost mode?Originally Posted by homecius Go to original post![]()
Nope... not even close.Originally Posted by the_champ101 Go to original post
This is part of the feedback we asked for for a long time, at least here... I don't know where else the devs took the feedback for pernadeath with the GM but it is not what a lot of people here were hoping for.
Sure that’s in ghost mode but that wouldn’t be so funny if you both lost 20 hours of progress.
I’ve competed the ghost mode and unlocked everything but the gold exo. (Can’t face the grind of tier mode)
To be honest unless I’m helping a mate complete it I won’t touch ghost mode again.
Going back to the regular campaign is more fun for me now due to the flexibility.
The addition of a friendly fire option gives me more variety to take a game session more seriously with a friend (without losing all progress if we mess up), and also fool around to have fun if we get bored repeating missions. (For example if my friend is deliberately blocking the door, the ammo box or tries to steal my chopper for some banter, saves me using c4 on him all the time :-)
We were joking about some of the firefights we might have if friendly fire was actually on.
I think that the main campaign would benefit from having some of the variety of options that ghost mode brings such as the Reload system and friendly fire.
I think EVERYTHING that’s been added to the game in one mode or another should also be added to the main campaign, including DLC stuff for those who bought it.
Los Extranjeros should deploy when your Unidad Patrol levels gets to 3 & 4, and a few should be present at Unidad Outposts.
Santa Blanca sports cars should have nitro, and Monster Trucks, as dumb as they are, should be there too, along with the motorcycles.
All the new Drones in Ghost War should be added, the Sonar Goggles should be able to replace Thermal Goggles, and the Suppression effect should be there too.
Let us toggle hand-to-hand CQC and the Fallen Ghosts Knife (minus the accompanying nuclear blast).
Give us access to the Proximity Scanner so any enemies entering the area get marked. Give us the jammer that confuses enemies and throws them off our trail when they get near it. Give us EVERYTHING!
Set a fire while the other is still burning hot.
We currently have a grieving problem as the result of friendly fire and there's not yet a countermeasure to the misbehaving issue.
You could say the classic "you should play with friends". But the fact that this game is built with a functionality of public matchmaking and co-op play, grieving is a real issue that was not meant to exist and has to be avoided or punished.
Friendly fire is a PvP element at the core nature. Putting it in PvE is the same as sh*tting next to where you eat; it's ruining everything unless you install a wall and water closet where the sh*t should belong to.
No, it's not. .....and that is exactly the point.Originally Posted by the_champ101 Go to original post
These features were all requests made by the community for over a year as options in the main game. Many were shocked to see them implemented as requirements locked behind a new mode with permadeath as it's backbone.
So no, our request to have these features ported to the main game as they were originally requested (as options) is not the same thing.
Fallen Ghosts takes place chronologically after the main campaign. When Santa Blanca collapsed, it fractured into multiple factions that went to war with each other and chaos ensued. Los Extranjeros were hired by the Bolivian government to aid Unidad in restoring the peace, but decided instead to just pick up where SB left off, which set the stage for the events of Fallen Ghosts.Originally Posted by RedCeII Go to original post
Los Extranjeros being present in the main campaign would make absolutely no sense at all.
