    Parrying lights on console

Is this even possible anymore based on skill/reaction or is it simply a guessing game?

Assassins are making console play boring as hell with unpunishable light spam. There's no risk for them at all. Even if you catch a couple they can just keep swinging.

Well if i can help you, yes they are annoying but there are assassins lights i use to parry :

PK : Impossible except with luck.. the only i parry sometimes is her top dagger feint because you know they do it 90% of times
Glad : Second top lights.. Only the first one is fast.. if a Glad didnt mix up after a light but go through for another.. it is easy to parry

Zerk : Top light is slower, sometimes you can catch it. Another one i can parry sometimes is the light following the zone they almost always do (opposite side or top most of tlme). And when a Zerk is feinting his heavy, most of time its gonna be for an opposite lights
Sham : IF she missed the first light but land the second one, it is very easy to parry ! And the bleed dagger after the fisrt part of the zone sometimes

Orochi : Impossible. Only the first one sometimes (500ms) but he is unpredictable
Shinobi : Like shaman, thats all.

Parrying 400ms Lights is hard, and that's for PC as true as for Console. I don't know why you think there is that much off a difference...

Parrying 400ms is not intended to be based on reaction but prediction.

Yes PC is noticeably easier to parry lights, and more reactable, from my own experience and most other players agree PC is easier to react to. Your always so determined to convince people that there is hardly a difference when in previous debates on PC vs Console the majority of players agree PC is more reactable, on PC I can actually see the lights coming and have more time to parry where as on console I just about see the indicator on 400ms lights let alone parry.

For me it is NOT easy to parry 400ms Lights on PC. So theres that.

And my other argument that those Attacks are intended to be prediction based and not reaction based, you just ignore that?

Exactly, the window is 16ms tighter if the Console player uses a fast Monitor to play on and have everything wired.

that window may not seem much which is what you argue but where did you get 16ms from? I guarantee you that most console players setup is not getting a 16ms difference, its feels morel ike 100ms and I say feels like because thats alll that matters in this game, feelings not facts because facts only account for a small % of players, I speak for the majority.

and I only mentioned about PC vs console because you did when he was asking about console only.

Difference of 60 FPS to 30 FPS is 16ms.

60 FPS - every 16ms a new frame is drawn
30 FPS - every 33ms a new frame is drawn

You can do the math yourself. And I only mentioned that it is not "easy" on PC because that is what the title implicated - "impossible" on Console

To be honest, this seems like it's missing the point slightly. Parrying lights on console is totally possible with lots of practice. The issue is that a large amount of the player-base do not have the opportunity to practice. I struggle with parrying lights on Xbox. Being told to 'git gud' isn't that helpful; I'm sure I could if I had enough time, but I only really play to relax in the evenings with some friends.

I think there is a risk that the game is only balanced for the top 1% of players. Making light attacks wickedly fast (especially on console) just makes the game unenjoyable for casual players. Anyone and their mum can spam light attacks with Orochi and Peacekeeper. Only really good players can consistently parry them.
